My 1st 7 runs were on 91 octane only, and I was trapping between 111 to 112 mph

After adding 2.5 gallons 100 octane to the 2 gallons of 91 that were remaining, Amir started trapping 113 to 114

 

Didnt the weather also cool off more towards the end though?

 

It was perfect all day .. Temp only varied 2 or so degrees.

Track sucked, but weather could not have been better.

 

Oldgixxer survives another track day atop the 63 list..

12/08/2007 produced the fastest 1/8th trap in a 63 90.427 mph
the fastest 1/4 trap in a 63 115.018 mph
the fastest 1/4 mile time slip for a CLS 63

 

Now those are some big numbers there bro. I must say I am very impressed, congratulations.

Juicee, you won't believe this.............

I took my car out on an empty road an hour ago (midnight), and tried a couple of 1/4 mile runs. Temperature was 40 F, so I got very tempted. Here is my best run:

12.45 @ 115.4

1/8 mile in 8.1 seconds @ 92.4 mph

60' time was 2.08

0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds

Can you check what the DA was last night in Bakersfield?

Note: at Sacramento, I was never able to get anything faster than 4.4 seconds for the 0 to 60 mph time but here on the street, I was able to get a couple of 4.2s and one 4.1. This shows how crappy the track was

 

-500 feet last night.... WOW.

Great runs wonder what you would get if you busted a 3.9 0-60 and a decent 60 ft like a 1.9x or better??? 2.0 is good but if we want the 12.3 range we have to do better on the launch so a 1.9( a low one) would translate to a 12.3x in a 0 DA weather situation!

 

I've been trying, but it is just very hard and very frustrating trying to get 1.9 on the street I wish Famoso was open more often.

Good numbers man!
Hoping that were able to make it this friday;were getting 10" of snow tomorrow mid-day.Hoping that it rains down south where Atco is located&we don't get cancelled.

On the positive side,I'm SO psyched for this rental as Atco is legendary for producing record setting conditions.The only downside will be the humidity factor.
I'm really hoping to equal my 12.3 run&then surpass it as the day goes on and make the 63 owners proud.If all else fails then I will just hand the keys over to Enzom&let him manhandle my baby

I have a few ideas that I want to try out on the car,one of them being dyno mode.I'm going to enter all runs w the specific settings&document everything to see which combo works best.

You got to get at least 12.0 @ 117 to start with ...........

EDIT: I was able to run 12.28 @ 116.5 on the street (crappy uneven surface). I was using RaceLogic

 

Went to ATCO today with the East Coast MB forum group. Great day and the CLK63 BS went a best 12.115 at 117.36 mph 1/4 mile with a 7.863 at 92.18 mph 1/8 mile on that run. Had a total of six runs in the 12.1's and that's with the stock Corsa tires and letting the trans shift by itself in sport.

 

GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are we ready for the tune yet?

Sorry I forgot to add the 60' time on that run was a 1.89
I think with a set of NITTO Drag Radials... it's in the 11's basically off the showroom floor.

And I never thought it would go that fast... as the Black Series cars are meant to be road track cars.

 

Nice runs! -1400 DA there today,Im suprised to see such good 60ft times with that cold of weather.Thats some good track prep.

I think your the first person to report back with some 1/4 mile times in a CLK63 BS,right?

Actually, the track wasn't that great for street tires today. All the rain they had yesterday did a number on the launching surface. I can usually count on deadhooking 1.71's and 1.72's there. Today, most of my runs were aborted because I spun like crazy, even launching fairly easily.

The air was pretty good - a tad too humid (70%), but I'll take it. Best DA measured at the track was -900 ft, I believe. But I stopped checking after 2:30 or so, as I had given up on setting a record. The guys with drag radials, on the other hand, were loving it today.

But MAD PROPS to Machc5 and his stunning CLK63 black series. That car is just gorgeous and sounds so awesome. I really could watch it run over and over again. And like everyone I got to meet today for the first time, Jim is a class act.

 

There were two Turbocharged 9 sec 150 mph cars an EVO & a BMW... plus multiple 10 & 11 second cars there today.

The wind was up and blowing on an angle toward the drivers front fender. I could really feel my car moving around at times from the halfway out to the end.

 

Weather showed a high of 45! Average temps were low 30's to high 30's! You guys must have been freezing today? Damm thats cold!

They must really work that track for you guys on prepping.

I want to extend CONGRATUALATIONS to two members of the forum who now top the fastest sixt three list.

MACHC5 in his CLK Black Series 100% stock travels down the 1/4 mile at ATCO in 12.115@117.36. This establishes a new benchmark and resets the bar to a much higher level. This same Black Series car also went 12.195@118.70, the highest trap ever measured in a 63 series vehicle(stock) and or (modded)



Trailing MACHC5 by .012 thats 1/100th of a second!!! is the former record holder OLDGIXXER in his 2007 early shifting E63. Atco 12/14/2007 , OLDGIXXER goes

The two runs at Atco established every 63 record except the best 60 ft. I want to thank each of you for running your cars and participating with cars not common to the 1/4 mile. Keep those times coming and hopefully we can get that sub 12 second pass. This car has a liitle more IMHO
