Wow!!! Amazing 60' time!!! Congrats!!!
There are a # of sub 1.6s (Jody's CL65 driven by Jay 1.575, Ahmad ran a 1.556 on his best run but had some better 60's on other runs, Lou Fishgold ran a 1.583 in his SL65, Joe Curry ran a 1.597 in his SL600). I also think Jay has cracked a 1.5X in his CL600. However, I don't think anyone has cracked 1.5 aside from you.

I appreciate the props and obviously have a high degree of respect for those that have passed on so much info and technique. The group of drivers you mention are folks I emulate.
I finally rejoin my 63 list, perhaps there is still hope for 11's in slightly cooler conditions.
Thanks Tom,
Josh

Yeah I smashed my personal best going from a 1.69 to a 1.479, car hit 12.07 another personal best in 83 degrees. My prior best ET in the 1/4 mile was 12.09 at 58 degrees.

The key to the 63 is fooling the ECU (the throttle by wire) and staying off the brake pedal as much as possible.
Heat the tires properly and stage rapidly within a few seconds of completing the burnout.
shallow satge so the car can roll out 1-2".
The more you power brake the harder you depress the brake peda and the worse your car runs the 60 ft and your ET will suffer.
I go to 800-1100 max and get my foot completely off that brake pedal just prior to the second light going on then go on the second light.
If I can 60 ft like this and get superior r/t I could potentially beat much faster cars I.E. The Earth's fastest 55. When I say beat I simply mean from point A to point B. I wouild be murdered in ET and trap by that car but winning a drag race is possible.

I have a bias-ply slick that has a near foot wide sidewall. When it flexed out it provides a very wide contact patch.

Update from Toronto, Canada...
Well, the racing season here is coming to an end. I just wanted to share my best run of the season:
Uncorrected - 12.775@111.57 MPH
Corrected - 12.411@114.918 MPH
60 ft - 2.012 seconds
My car has removed charcoal filters and resonator. I tried to run with K&Ns, but they were only slowing me down...
Tires were Hankook Ventus V12 Evo, 295/30/19...
Just purchased some 305s and hopefully will make it out to a dragstrip one more time with them before season ends...

Atco today with Bruce from TT motorsports driving we managed a best of 12.07 @ 116.79mph. 90 % humidity . Colder weather with no humidity and i know the car can get into the 11's .
By the way Bruce is the one who spinned off thAt time , My cousin was ripping off 12.1-12.2's all day and the one pass i did myself was horrible lol.

11's are difficult , I wonder if cooling was an issue. Was the 12.077 run after a long cool down or were you guys lapping the car?
DA was great and although humidity was near 100% relative air temp was perfect. The 60 ft time not too bad and the car is performing very very closely to my CLS.
Car is on par , it will get faster just keep pushing her.
Did you guys run in dyno mode and keep the stocker fronts?

As you will read below we hot lapped the car and we didnt ice down at all and the car stayed consistant . We also managed a 1.82 -60 as well that was the first run we did and the car was right off the trailer and bogged in third or it might of been our best time .
in the meantime i need to learn to stage better since i am not used to the track .

no dyno mode , i was a lil worried about it even though the track was perfect . We also ran the car on 19 inch Modulares, with the Nitto Invo's and the car performed the same as with the rear slicks . Honeslty the car is right in the range where we thought it would be . a light weight battery and some lightweight rims and there you go . Im going to bring her to the track on a cold less humid day to see where we stand but in all honesty a tenth or 2 of a second is a blink of an eye .

Its dam fast , just keep tweaking we need more 11 second cars and yours seems capable at becoming the fastest E63 we have seen.
There has only been two passes sub 12
The CLS is the same 2 passes off the bottle in the 11's
I should have a slew of C63 times to post up soon . I hope to also be with the 11 second club shortly after our 11/21 event.
