Josh, why don't you PM me your fax number so I can send you my 11.223 @ 127.14 mph slip so you can put me back on top of the NON-nitrous trap charts. A couple guys might be thinking they are getting close to my times, I better clarify things a bit...FYI 127.14mph is not even my fastest trap speed, but it's enough to get me back on top of the list, if somebody tops that then I'll release another slip.

Just when you thought you were getting caught up I need another update. Ran tonight and got an 11.240 @ 124.32mph!! Moving up a little. The slip is posted on the W204 forum under New N/A record. Thanks again for your help!!

Also, new 60-130 time is 7.21. I will submit the file to sixspeed on line for verification and posting there. Keep racing and be safe!!!

here is my fastest time so far.

Something must be wrong on my top end...I was running 1.91 60fts last night but trapping 12.6-12.7

 

What were the temps ? What tires were u running? and what tire psi ???

what do u have on the car ?

 

The DA was about 262..I'm running Nitto NT05's...just a tune and an airbox for now. I think if i'd gotten more than 2 runs in 5 hours i could've gotten the 60' to 1.8 or lower...Just seems like running 1.9 60's should trap faster than I was looking at this list...Meh...There's a bunch of crap going on this car sin the next few months. I'm going back out in a couple weeks on a true Test n Tune all day event. Should get to mess around some more and see what happens...

 

what was your trap speed?

 

i pulled a best of 1.82 during a 58 degree day with almost 100% humidity on 19's with NITTO invos as well and the car bogged hitting third it was still a little cold or we might of cracked a 11 that day . I too have the air box , Kleemann tune, Kleemann headers and a host of other mods and i was consistant between 12.0-12.2 and 116.76 was best mph for the day .

If we wouldve increased the tire pressure we wouldve picked up some more MPH for sure and we also had a problem with wheel rub since car is lowered .

I would try some runs with stock wheel set up and play with psi next go around . 11.s are tough and 1.7s as well with these NA cars and cold weather is the only time i think these cars can get there .

The 2 e63's that hit 11's have done so @ 40 degree temps but still were not able to hit a 1.7 60 ft .

Trial and error my friend it will take some time but if you need tips PM juicee63 he has gone from worst to first in running a 63 and knows all the tips and tricks .

 

Kicker, they weren't trapping our quarters...I think my best 1/8 was an 8.2 at 87.7...

Thanks, yeah it was a lot of the fact that I haven't run it at the strip yet, and I got 2 passes about 3 hours apart. Next time I'm gonna mess with my launch RPM's etc. I definitely didn't feel any problems with hooking out of the hole, but I was also trying to get my RT's low just to see if I could. I think I'll be rocking some LT's and other goodies by fall and go for some low ones. Summer in Dallas at 100 degrees usually doesn't lend to great times...

I'll throw my best slip up when I get home from this business trip...

 

you need to get the 1/8 mph over 91 to see a low 12 hi 11 time

Oops what I meant to say up there was high 1.8's or lower...And yeah no trap speed at the 1/4...I'd guess low teens...

Has anyone tried out the new Nitto NT05 drag radials? Supposedly they reduced the Et about .30 sec in the qtr mile compared to the NT555Rs. This would be comparable to my Hoosiers. It would be nice to drive up on tires to the track and not have to carry wheels/tires in the car.

I can't seem to do much better than 1.9-2.0 on my 60' times.

I just installed a small .28 dryshot yesterday morning, and drove straight up to the drag strip yesterday with no tuning whatsoever. With my best, but still medicre 1.844 60' time I managed:

11.33 @ 132.778mph

My best 1/8 mile trap was 102.798 mph!

Sure as heck suprised some of those loud obnoxious muscle cars yesterday in my quiet unassuming family car!

Im hoping to at least get down to 7.7 secs on my 60-130mph times.
