Thanks man, it feels amazing and further raises the bar for me by ALOT. Now I know its possible and can no longer make excuses as to why I am not under 2.0 everytime. Nearly 3/10th came off my time!!So really the 1/4 mile is won and lost in this little span. Here are some details
Tires, new Pilot Sport Cups, replacing the BFG. BFG was a bit too soft but still produced good 60 ft. I managed a 1.92 on those. This was a special run. I was racing a guy from Irwindale on that run. Last Thursday he was beating me 1.8 to 2.0 in 60 ft times and then extending the lead to .4 by 1/8th.
He (Rick) has intake, headers, drag rads, bunch of mods producing about 480 hp in his Camaro. His car also has some suspension upgrades . I lined up in the left because he complained of poor traction in that lane.
I raised the car up, and since the lane had poor traction I simply rolled out and put focus on not spinning out. Power brake to 1100, and depress the pedal. I got him out of the hole and knew I could hold him off but he did pull me at the end of the track. His car is likely .2-.3 faster most of the time.
I made it up in the 60ft and was seriously floating after seeing my slip. Actually thought I had done really well with the 1.9 then realized that was the CAMAro!!!I SCREAMED, "HOLY ****" PULLED up to him and asked "WTF did I do"? He was very impressed and shocked.
I tried to duplicate the run but never managed anything close to that time. It was the "perfect" launch and certainly something to aim for. Here is a summary for you guys
1. Car in DYNO
2. Suspension Comfort
3.Suspension Raised
4.floor mats, ash trays, and spare removed
5.1100 RPM power brake, (if you can call it that)
6.Pilot Sport Cup Tires @28 psi
7.Heated tires @20 seconds 5000 rpm, foot off brake and accelerate out
8.Once launched stand on the pedal
9.Car under 100 degrees, I think it was 98!!(this is critical)
Your cars can hot lap all day but they will not achieve the lowest times, consistant yes but the best time was produced after a 30-40 minute break!
Prior my car was doing 13.2-13.3, on my very first run I beat my best actual time, but the DA was not as bad as prior dates so the 13.2 was not in the top 4 runs(12.58)..
Thanks for all your help guys, I know now my car can produce some real good 1/4 mile times based on the improved 60 ft. Gotta let her cool down!
I am thankful to all of you guys for all the tips and suggestions. The car may also simply be getting faster due to my continual barrage of track runs?

Guys i'm not rying to start a war in here but i have a couple of questions:
1) whats the best UNCORRECTED 1/4 for a STOCK E55?
2) whats the best UNCORRECTED 1/4 for a STOCK E63?
it seems to me that the 63 is slower in the 1/4 than the actual 0.2sec claimed by MB.

Irwindale Tonight did
1.several 1.9 60 ft times
2. 8.17@87 was the best I could do 1/8 mile uncorrected
3.Car with Sprint Booster is trickier to launch.
I think launch from idle is best, still running in DYNO mode
Am I the only 63 owner going to the track 3 times per week?
Guess I need a J O B

Tom had a 114 trap uncorrected as well as a 12.41 ET.. Yeah my car is heavy, killing my ET and Trap. Time for those super light racing rims. Maybe a CF hood LOL..Sad Tom only made 2 passes. We should of ran better the 2nd run but we were 1/100th slower.DA was half what it was from 7:56 to 8:56. The 63 seems to reall like to cool waaaaaaaaaaay down. My best trap was 111.81 but my car weighed more than I thought 4625!! DAM I need to lose 100 lbs maybe 150. My 60ft times were blank on 90% of my runs sad.
Get XABO to the track man.

Good Job.
I am going this weekend, Hope i get more than one run this time
. Did Tom's 63 have slicks or cups on it ? Looked like it had different wheels on it.

Also bring ICE cool the engine way down to 60 c then run. You will be happy you did. I do not think the raised suspension helps me in the CLS. GOOD LUCK Robert. Tommy was a pro drag racer for about eight years in the funny cars. He definately will be a good asset in aiding the car down the track. Racing the E63 was really fun!!! It requires a better light by .2 or I dont have a chance. Cars are glued down the track , man its a blast. The E63 is a PERFECT bracket racer. We ran 2x and were within 1/100th on the slips. Maybe you wanna come up to SAC!!! I drove 5 hours and I will do it again. I will check Fontana and see when the next TNT is.
GOOD LUCK we are all counting on you!

Runs were in dyno and with Nitto 555R1 tires. SAM was also featured on ABC news tonight running @LACR..WTG SAM. This was the 2nd best time for a 63 ever run @LACR 13.14@106!!!
