Purchased an 05 E55
05 E55 - Brilliant Silver with act/ven seats, lighting, pano, trunk, and nav
The car was CPO with only 10k miles and spotless except for a few scratches on the rims. I traded in my 05 C55 with 27k miles as well. I have a second baby on the way and I wanted something a little bit bigger for the family. We already have a minivan and I didn't want to be stuck in that thing all weekend. Secondly, I was scared about the prices of the C55 dropping out due to the new C class coming. I didn't want to wait to long to upgrade and not get anything for the C55. I have always wanted an E55 but it was just to expensive for me in the past. I had to drive up to PA from VA to get the car. All I can say is that the C55 is just no comparison in my opinion. I was sad at first to see my C55 go because I really enjoyed it for the 2 years that I owned it. It was my first AMG and it really developed my appreciation for these amazing machines. Anyways, the C55 was forgotten shortly after I enabled the dynamic seats, and punched it in the E55 on my 2 hour trip home
Pics coming soon.
Please post pics of your sirius antenna and underneath the trunk (behind the trunk liner)
if you don't mind.
To be more specific, with the windows closed the C55 sounds better but with the the windows open the E55 sounds just as good if not better based on my initial observations. It's like a fighter jet taking off. I'm under the impression the cabin on the E55 has more noise dampening features?
In terms of steering, I'm no expert but I do agree that the steering seems bit tighter on the C55. The E55 just feels more like your floating. Not sure how else to describe it. Either way, they are both great cars and it has been a blast to drive both of them.

Yeah, the Acura link is sort of like that. On theirs you can only play play lists too! ugh.
I prefer just having the ipod menu available on my ipod. This way, I can listen to anything and it's easy to find.
Many times, I listen to shows I've seen many times like Seinfeld or movies I know by heart like Rocky movies. (I have a video ipod).
I love this ability.
