I don't know how some say the sprint booster is not a mod. I just got my renntech stage 1 E55(also a few other mods) about 5 months ago. Sick car. I can not complain but I've felt that even though the car is heavy I figured it would have a little more juice and kick for having dyno'd at 525hp and close to 600lb of TQ. I work at an exotic car stealership and I've driven 911 turbo's and other fast cars. They were all, throw me back in my seat fast and most of them have less hp. I just couldn't understand why my 55 did not feel that fast until.......I just got my sprint booster 4 days ago and now the sht is a fukn rocket. And It's not all in my head. The car feels so light on its feet and Its soo much more fun. I don't know if its better or worse for track time but it is a must for everyday driving. IT BRICKS AROUND TOWN LIKE A FUKN MONSTER. IT IS A MUST HAVE

 

This is the last rave I'm going to hear about this sprint booster without trying it myself. Where can I buy one?

i have bought 4 sprintboosters and put one on a 07 e63 and a 04 e55, both cars responded well and made the fun factor go way up. i have one more guy i'm gonna put one on 05 e55 and the last one goes on mine,06 e55. partsexporter is wherer i got mine, $300 for the first one, $820 for the other three, i made 2 seperate purchases otherwise the price would have been less. received the packages about 4 days after payment w/ tracking #'s and all, this guy is great to do business with.lazy man throttle or not this makes the car more enjoyable where it really counts, stoplight to stoplight, get one and enjoy an inexpensive kick in the pants!

 

All the sprint booster does is make your car think that your throttle position is wide open when in reality the throttle is on at 50-60%. Depressing the gas pedal furhter after this point will do nothing. Its not a mod because it does not increase your performance at all. IMO it actually is a negative because it doesnt make the car faster and does make the car less comfertable to drive at lower speeds.

 

So we've been told, until they naysayers tried it. We even converted Jangy who thought the same way you did. Now he's a believer.

 

The booster is for the right driver. If you want the rush of being ripped into your seat like you just got out of a roller coaster this is the **** for you. It took me five mins to install. I hate flooring the throttle and reving the *** out of the car where it feels the cars about to pop. With the mod Just by giving a little gas It rips you threw traffic and blasts around corners. It actually feels ur car is supercharged or has 100 more hp. If you don't like that feeling your just weird and shouldnt get s/c vehicles. Stick with the natually aspd motors (non sprint boosted) that you have to floor all the time in order to get all the power. Its a mind trick that works for the best of us. Compared to all the other expesive thrills, for 2 to 300 dollars you can't go wrong and if you want to take it in and out it for a change it takes 5 mins I could do it with my eyes closed by now. Highy recomended.

As long as it doesnt *** anything up long term wise that sht is hot
Feels like getting shot out of a cannon with gun power as opposed to a spring
Also everyone says you get the power only between 50-60% throttle but my **** keeps on hauling the whole way

 

I'm interested in one too. Partsexporter doesnt list the BDD451A2 so i assume there out.

any return policy if we're not satisfied? i'd keep it if it simply prevented the adaptive shifts from getting soft and nothing else but i'd also like to do some 1/4mile tests for ****s-n-giggles.

 

I"m up for it but my wife won't let me spend the money yet. Still smarting from paying cash for my beast a couple weeks ago. It looks like I'm going to have to wait a few month.

 

Trust me Mikey, if you dont like it, your S/B will sell on the forums for the same price you bought it for. I was one of the few back a year ago that purchased one of these. When I was parting out my car and sold it, I felt bad for selling it for what i got it for (325.00) so I sold it for 180.00. I must had gotten 20 inquires.... I love it and would purchase it for my BMW's but the newer BMW's have sport mode which bascially does what the S/B does..

 

Dont knock it if you haven't tried it... Its more than just WOT. It helps on the throttle response time.....

Sort of behind the gas pedal...well not RIGHT behind it but right above it...

 

it is installed as part of the gas pedal assembly. Do a search.. There are many many many DYI on the forums..
