Lightbulb Torque management + Dyno mode q's

Has anyone been able to ascertain if the torque management is attenuated or disabled in Dyno mode?

Power-braking these cars nets the same 60' as an off-idle launch, and this should not be the case.

Has anyone attempted to disable the brake pedal input to the ECU to fool it into thinking that it's not being depressed?

Maybe taking out a brake-light fuse or removal of ABS relay would do the trick.........

Comments?

........I don't know the answer to the question. So why am I responding. I just wanted to add that it is indeed true that just stomping on the gas from the second yellow light yeilds the same 60ft time as power braking. I am sure this is not the case all the time, but I'll implore people to try it. It doesn't make sense, but I have noticed this.

The only logical answer that I can think of is that the tranny's torque management system is cutting back power when you power brake. I also get better 60ft's with just flashing the converter instead of preloading.

Same for me. Leaving just off idle vs 3500 = same 60' times. Perhaps even slightly better just off idle......

Have you run in DYNO mode? This disables abs, esp,

but uh yeah launching at a rpm above 1200 seems to do nothing. I agree best 60 ft times are right off idle

What is that TRUE ??? Why you did tell that before...I always power brake at 1200-1500 at launch in 1/4 after burn out...May be doing burn out also make ECU to cut POWER

I've found that if you load these cars too high it will just slow the 60ft down, but if you modulate the throttle between idle and around 1500 RPM it works pretty well better than just pushing the throttle from the second yellow light. Make sure the RPM climbes to 1500 JUST as your lifting off the brake. I think the reason for this poor 60ft may have something to do with vaccuum.
