NO pix, but BMW's new Alpina super 7 series set for U.S.
This is straight out've the July 07 C&D, just got it in the mail today.....
Alpina B7 V8 Supercharged w/Centrifugal blower, Power bhp 500 @ 5500rpm's then the most impressive for a Beemer, 516 Torque @ 4250 rpm's still not AMG off throttle torque but damned impressive curb weight is ugly though 4684lbs
186 mph top speed
They say in a British mag test, it out performed the M6 to 60 mph, and to 100mph, and back
Here's the UGLY PART---they say it's within 0.2 tenths of a second of Mercedes Bi-Turbo S600 in the 1/4 mile. But they only managed 4.4 in 0-60mph no doubt because of the high revving Centrifugal boost not coming on strong till 4250 rpm's
285 rubber in the rear, max boost only 11.6 psi, I see room for more boost w/9.0:1 compression, tuners will work this car over!
Damn! all these new perf 4 doors are getting scary fast!!

BMW Magazine had a feature on it a couple months ago... and I've seen a few around BH already, but I think I'd get an S8 over this though.

I liked it a lot. Very fast, looks great, it wasnt that loud tho. The only thing I wouldnt change on that car were the wheels. I dont know if they all come in chrome but this one was and it just didnt fit for my taste. I personally would rather have this instead of the s63, but then again I have not driven in an s63 yet.

There is a women that drives one here in Boca Raton. Black and beautiful. It lacks the Alpina pinstripe, which I am not a fan of anyway, but there is no mistaking the big B7 on the tail or the wheels, etc.
I've been outside when she has pulled away as well as next to her on the road, however I can't provide a good commentary on the exhaust as she doesn't exactly drive it the way its meant to be driven. Much like the 90 year old women I often see in her SL65.
Lastly, this site, last time I checked had one for sale, www.carsforstars.com
They advertise in Dupont Registry.

Pulling this thread from the dead. I have been out of town and arrived back last night and see one of these sitting in my neighbors driveway. I had never heard of it before so did some research and was pretty surprised. I know there is the little info in the first post but here is a full write up from car and driver.
