Not quite, but she's been pretty quick.

I checked 5 forecasts this morning (all the local channels). They all said rain, so I left the E55 at home. If by some strange circumstance, the weather clears up, I will TRY to get out of the office by 6:00 to go home, swap cars, and head down. The absolute earliest that I could be there is 8:15-8:30. Not sure how late Venom plans to stay down there, so it may not be worth making the trip.

Venom - I tried sending you a PM, but your box is full. Please PM me your number so that I can try to track you down later this evening if I do head down.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You will be just as mad if it does not rain and the temp is in the 60's.. Seems like the perfect storm to record some super quick times. Dont let a little rain scare ya! Worst thing it rains and you guys all go out for a nice dinner and some brews

OK - So it looks like rain here in NYC. But I just called the track and a woman there said the sun was out.
Now I don't know what the heck to do. About ten minutes ago, I was praying that it would just rain so that I could be put out of my misery. Now I am praying in the other direction. Go figure.

I have read that humidity is actually good for making power, so long as it is not so humid that the ground gets moist and you lose traction. The temperature is more important - and the big display on the New York building says 68 degrees right now.
It was overcast on the day of my best run.

Island Dragway in Hackettstown is notorious for this as it is on the grounds of a sod farm&sits very low in a valley

Not to be a dick or anything, but actually the best air for making power is when it reaches it's dew point. All the moisture in the air has fallen to the ground.Incidently,it wouldnt exactly be the best conditions to run down a track.

OK - Was still in the office at 7:00 tonight, itching like heck to have left by 5:30. Chris called from the track to tell me that he got three runs in, but it started drizzling and he was not sure what he was doing at that point.
Had I left when I tried to, I would have been at exit 11 on the Turnpike spitting out the window in anger as the rain started to fall.
We'll have to try it again soon.
