E55 AMG
Any one raced a 997 Turbo or fast bike?

Have any of you raced a 997 Turbo or a motorbike eg Ducati or R1 etc in your tuned E55 Amg? How did you get on? Or did you get blown away?

I am not too bothered about 0-60, but more 50mph upwards.

Thanks.

my e55 is modded but raced a buddies modded 996tt and slightly pulled on him to 120mph so i doubt i'd have any trouble with a stock 997tt. also put 3 cars on an f430 f1 from 70 to 150mph.

Bike from 10mph roll ... dunno what it was but at least a 600 ... hmm he just took off 2-3 cars before I could blink... and continued pulling to about 5 cars and stabilized before we had to come off it. Traction was blinking a bit so I did not get a perfect getaway ... still would have roasted me though regardless.

Nothing takes off as quick as bikes .... its not possible - just look at the power to weight ratios... from a high mph roll you got much better chance... and then still its only a chance..

I saw my friend beat a bike in his Stage 1 E55. We both have no idea what kind of bike it was. Either the guy wasn't really trying or he had a real slow bike. Wish I could give more details...

I used to drive my dad's 997TT...from any speed I could see it beating an E55. Modded E55 has a good chance of keeping up with or beating one I think.

I raced a YZF600R when I was stock a LONG time ago. Off the dig, I had it by 1-2 cars and then from about 30-60 he sling shot past me about 1 car and wasn't gaining after that. After we both hit about 100, I was closing the gap very quickly...

OT: Was the bike in the video a 600 or 1000? and anyone know what mods teh 55 had?

This is an internally stock '04 ZX-10R that belongs to my friend. It puts down 170rwhp on a DynoJet 150 dynomometer. It has degreed cams,a full Akro exhaust along with a custom map.He weighs 215lbs,the bike runs 9.15@152mph w VP U4 fuel,9.28@148 w 93 octane. My '05 GSXR-1000 puts down 201.25rwhp so imagine the *** whooping the vette would get vs. that
This is what happens when a skilled rider runs a 730+rwhp vette.

Cylinder head,if you happen to stumble upon this the ZX-10 above is coming to Hooters w me tomorrow nite

That GSXR was a 600.A 1000 would walk the 55

When my car was 100% stock i raced a gsxR600 with a pro rider on it, he gave me 7 car lenths into the quater adn then took 3 car lenths back behind the quater for himseld so = 10 cars he just passed me at the second before the 1/4 mile ended.

That's not exactly what I call a spanking. The PROTOMOTIVE modified 997 turbo was quicker but most of those races were very close.

Don't race a liter bike or a middle weight (600 CC). You'll never beat them, with a competent rider. Power to weight ratio is way their favor. Take on a Harley or those other custom American V-twins. You'll stand a better chance.

E55 AMG
My friend just bought a Ducati 1098s. I will have e55 upgraded on Thursday with limiter totally removed. It will be fun and I know I will get smoked!
