You have to understand that Gustav is a troll that will always post something that will favor a BMW. There have been numerous posts where race starts are always rolling and favoring the gearing of the BMW. I personally have as yet to see a post of his his where a MB wins and/or he admits defeat without any qualifiers: bad weather, tire pressue, bad driver, wrong gear, etc.

Thanks for posting the vid, guess I better order the DVD to see all the great runs. I wish we could do this in the USA I would love to take the 63 to 330. Sadly the 5 freeway even at 6am wont allow this type of display. We have the dry lakebed, can this be rented to allow some high speed amg runs? Thanks for the video that E55 seemed awfully quiet for wot

well it seems the results are accurate for the parameters that are set. That same Alpina would fall behind the 55by a similar margin had they started from a dig. i guess if you know te cars you could predict this outcome w/o running the race. From a dig to 250 this simply would be photo finish, the B5 slowly making up ground.I would love to see this race from a dig,that Alpina is nice but Ihave seen it beaten by the 55 in an equally unfair race. I learn from the posts and hate to see skewed data but we do it all the time to the M5 guys on the drag strip, they have no launch capability so the are DOA...does that mean my car is faster? It is on a drag strip prolly not as big of a margin when rolling. I would not go as far as calling Gustav a troll. I respect him for doing all he does, I wish he had an AMG!!! We all know his position, but he does offer all kinds of proof, even if it is unbalanced. He knows the bmw wll and he designs events that showcase that advantage.

'08 M5, '10 Land Cruiser
It's not modded it's an Alpina. Alpina is kind of like Brabus in that it has it's own badges in place of the BMW sign. It's the old 4.4 V8 with a supercharger added.

The E55 AMG was definetly goign 100%.
The Alpina B5 has the same engine as the Alpina B7, which is sold in the USA.
