Squeaky Breaks?

Anyone ever have constant issues with their breaks squeaking ? It is somewhat embarrassing to be driving around (parking lots, neighborhoods, etc) at low speeds and hearing squeaking noises .
The problem appears to get worse after I hit the brakes hard at high speeds. It gradually gets better but still exists.
I have had it in for service once already and it needs to go back. Any ideas ?

This has been mentioned here a few times and occurs with some new cars (MB and others). In my experience (had this with two new MB's and one new Porsche) the problem is only permanently corrected when the dealership has replaced the pads and rotors. BTW, it's brakes not breaks

No worries... Get after your dealership to get this problem fixed before you put on any more miles.

Just drive the car hard as the brakes were made for agressive breaking and then don't ride the "breaks" to a stop. Don't replace the pads and rotors unless you want to be bent over for significant bucks. Rotors alone are $2,000 WOW! Good luck.

Thanks. Tried all that but the squeak always came back within a few days. MB and Porsche picked up the tab for the new pads and rotors not without a bit of a fight however.

i had the same problem with my E55 when i had it and what i used to do after bringing it to the dealer like 12 times for different things and them telling me its normal for a mercedes to squeak i would take a air hose and spray the air into each rotor aggressively and then hose it off with water, or sometimes stomp on the brakes hard in reverse, that might work if your lucky.

I can't believe they told me its normal for a Mercedes to squeak. lmao

It's definitely a pisser. I tried some advice from a post here that I will mention in a minute. I've never seen this advice but it seemed to work for me, at least help. Buy some Mother's metal polish and clean all four rotors until the mother fuc***'s shine like new. The advice also is to go from 0-60 and 60-0 three times wherever it is safe. Don't slame 'em because you can warp your rotors but get on them hard. Clean your rotors again and the noise will stop. Then don't ride your brakes when coming to a stop, hit the brakes fairly hard. If you know this already, maybe someone else can benefit. Later

My front right brake was squeaking terribly and it turned out to be a broken caliper spring. One of the "fingers" broke off and was resting on the rotor. The noise was awful.
