I go to the filling station on the north east corner of Fairfax/la brea as it's most convenient on my commute but the 76 on Sunset/Laurel has good service if you have any tire issues etc. Still, both carry only 91.
I go to Barrington and Pico 76 station has 100. I do 5.5 gallons per tank full. 8.60/gal. I really think it improves the top speed and is good to run once in a while to help the beast out

What do you think?

use d/s but shift down to 3rd just prior to launch, always launch in 3rd on the fwy. The car will shift for you still and should be max, also make sure esp is off. You did fine and the early shift sunk you. Overall your car is likely not giving you "full" power . Do this same race @1500 mi and you should be glued together pulling away from your e55 brother at somewhere after the century mark. I get pulled by other 63 similar to your race because he drives harder and has 5k more miles. I am putting an end to this...stay tuned

I see wat your talkin bout, but you def. shifted too early. There is nothin wrong with ur car, but I recommend you dont driv the car too hard for the first 1200 and do not use manual yet specially since you havn't got the hang of it.

Did you remove your charcoal filters????

Ya, I have only used M mode 3 or 4 times when i was really hammering it. I usually just keep the car in S. Ive got people telling me all kinds of things about break in. Some people tell me the car already comes broken in from the factory. Others say dont get on it at all for the first thousand. Any others say to drive it like you stole it. Its hard to know what to do so im trying to keep it a little of both. I dont launch it hard at every light but when I see an opportunity for fun I usually take it.

the guy telling you to take it easy, gives me a heart attack and makes me car sick when riding w/him. The car may or may not be limiting power but every 63 owner here seems to agree the car opens up after 1200 miles, mine was at 1800. Hammer time

You're wasting your money. 100 octane (or anything higher than manufacturer's recommendation - is that 91 or 92?) is useless unless you tune your car for it.

As far as 63 vs. 55, where are the 11.8-12.2 E63s? There are a bunch of E55s running those times, bone stock.

NO, We were racing against eachother. And I won the wht 55 More than 8 times down the track by atleast 3 car lengths each time and sometimes more.
Watch the video and It clearly shows the blk cls ahead by a bit. Try Again

I can see the black car is ahead. Again, what were the elapsed times and trapspeeds...that will tell the story most of us are interested in...

Sams car was trapping higher and beating the 55 by more than a half second. Car had traction problems as did the 63. His car recently ran the 2nd fastest 63 time ever produced @LACR. It is posted in the best times thread. I beat that same 55 4 or 5 times as well.

Not in California

and there are not a "bunch", you guys are not looking at the data at all. So I get it just put a time up on dragtimes with no slip, weight bunch of missing info and thats it? East coast runs cannot be compared to the runs in the west. BEST 55 time stock in the west is 12.4@116 slightly faster than the E63 12.4@114.8. But as per most of the drag times record NO TIME SLIP. JROCKET is also in the top Western stock E55 he also fails to scan a time slip?

There are a few sub 12 stock runs at SEA LEVEL at NEGATIVE or extreemely LOW DA, you cannot possibly make the comparo to the West Coast runs at 1200 plus DA,

WOW..looks like I just got called out.Jrocket's a liar, due to no time slip being scanned! In front of all my AMG peers and on the world wide web of all things! I am truely hurt...well not really but oh well.

Do I really need to go down, buy a scannner just to prove a point here.I hope not.

If you scan it, I can put it in the MBWorld Wiki

Do I have a time slip for the post on drag times? Yes,I do. I dont think its really a big deal though.I have even gone faster than that but dont agree with the MPH given on my ticket,so I dont mention that run.

I guess I could go down, buy a scanner and go through all this trouble so people that lurk through DT could see the proof, but I'd rather have Juicee think Im a liar instead.

Bro, no I totally believe you!! But there are a ton of times on drag times lacking a TIME SLIP. Fact is your car is not a half second slower than Enzoms. My point is comparing the sub 12 second runs to bash the 63 12.4 runs is non-sensical. You ran a 12.4 and if you lined up against Enzom or Housclas it would be much closer than 11.85 to 12.4, would you win? dunno, would you get beaten by 1/4 track HELL NO

I've run low-low 12s in +DA.

I'm comparing all the runs here on MBWorld.org, regardless of location. Where are the fast East Coast or Midwest stock E63s? Certainly there are E63s on this coast running 11.9-12.2, since the E63 is faster/quicker than the E55

I've run faster and quicker, but not 100% stock (I don't run stock tires now - so I posted my bone stock ET).

I'll pose the same question again - where are all the 11.9-12.2 bone stock E63s?

Great runs, impressive and certainly quicker than any 63 I have seen. They are also quicker than any 55 I have seen. A question to you is why is there not one 55 running stock 11.9-12.2 in a State with the highest number of AMG cars? Jrocket could take his 55 to MIR or ATCO and run 12.2 as well , bring your car here and its a 12.4-12.6 runner end of story. I dont think the 63 is faster in the 1/4 mile.. I just know its not as slow as you and others have suggested since it's birth
