E-town Friday Night?

Weather is supposed to be relatively OK Friday night. I am going to be in Delaware for the day, but I may be able to make it back early enough to hit the track. Anyone else plan to go?

Have to be in Red Bank for a dinner at 8:30 but if meeting early is a possibility...@5:30ish I could get a couple runs in. Will touch base with you later in the week.

No way I'll be there before 8:00. Figure I'll be on the 4:15 train coming home if I am lucky. We can try another night. Hate when life interferes with racing.

So I can conclude that nobody on this board plans on being there at 8?

Just making sure. Don't want to make the trip if nobody else was planning on being there.

AMG_Rider, Good seeing you and Mig-E55Rocket. Had a great time. That was a good run with the SL on the way back. I need to see who he is on the SL forum. We should organize meets on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

Hey guys, it was great meeting you guys..it was great!!!eventhough I am so dissapointed in my runs...yes gentlemen after cams and meth I ran best of 12.7 at 111 hahahah, I am not sweating it though I went with stock contis!!!I couldn't keep the rear straight too much torque, power what ever you want to call it. It was a good experience though, I will run again with some toyo's, lol!! In respect to the meets I am going to start doing our own meets even if it's just 3 of us, sleeper X, AMG_Rider and me...saturday mornings or friday nights. Lol!!

Yeah...I have the SLR cams too, lol! Trust me all these upgrades are not worth it without the proper ECU tune...I could attach a rocket to my back, if I don't do the ECU, there will be only minor gains. All I need is an 80MM throtle body and ECU to complete a K4...soon, soon!!!lol!

What exhaust are you using? Eisennman??...man I am having seconds thoughts about getting me one. Sounds sweet!!!

Trust me my friend, at this power level my enemy is traction, you try putting down 600+ HP to the pavement on skinny 265 contis... I am going half way the 1/4 mile and can't seem to keep car straight.!!! Not worth it pushing it and me ending up in the wall at this point. But I should have listened to jeffrey.. he told me it would be a waste of time without the tires.

For anyone who is wondering - e-town blew today. Import event. After the "regular" street cars ran, we waited hours because all of the backyard garage mechanic $h!tboxes kept blowing up and spilling fluid on the track. All joking aside, at one point, the racing was being stopped after every other race to inspect the track for fluid and little pieces of drivetrain. Gave up after one run and headed home.

IMO, for any car that is not street driven, the track should collect a $250 deposit for clean-up costs. At least this way, these people (including IDIOTS that roll the entire length of the track at 20 mph dropping fluid instead of pulling off) would think twice before ruining the day for everyone else.

Maybe because it was an "event" that drew people from all over, the lack of courtesy and common sense was just amazing. People were just leaning on my car, putting their hands all over it - one guy even opened my hood after I pulled the release lever. Never even met him.

Nice meeting Carl and seeing Will (NYC SRT8). But it will probably be a long, long while before I go to e-town on a Sunday again.

FWIW - Ran a 12.254 @ 115.59. ESP kicked in on launch and ruined my 60' time (1.912)

I felt discouraged last time I ran, I don't think the track was well prepped, I ran a 12.7 last time, that's what ruinned my run also ESP kicked in and ran horrible, I think I could have done way better...I say even the best of us have the worst days some times, LOL!!!
