NYC AMG members let's plan a Day at E-town and a BBQ
Who would be interested and any ideas? I have two places in mind for the BBQ! Everybody bring something!
Favorte meats(EX Rack of Ribs and Steak)
,salad,drinks,whatever. I can bring the Grill and everything else needed for it. Just don't wanna be the Chef but will help out.LOL!
1. Jones Beach
2. OBi (Captree if possible)
3 Hempstead Lake State park off the Southern State
Day can be Sat or Sun 3rd or last wknd in July!
English Town Raceway Park would be the Fri nite of the same weekend!
Who thinks it's a great idea?

Yes but Atco for what day? I'm thinking seriously about the BBQ and Drag racing. May take two separate days. Atco would be a nice plan but we need to decide a day. BBQ with the members is a must. Surprised there has not been too many responses!

im only about 20 mins away from all those spots, or Etown sounds good too. do you know what day or weekend your looking to do this?

I'm looking for a wknd to do this,any suggestions fellows. We've only got two weeks to plan?
Many are saying it's a good look but what wkhd do you guys want to do this? We have the last wknd of the month(July).
Last wknd because many of the BMW guys plan on taking dopey Gustav to Captree the third wknd of the month. So the last wknd of the month seems like the time to go. Many of us will be at Captree the 21st I believe it is,same wknd Gustav will be there.

OK so we can do English town Fri. nite July 27th 5pm to 9pm or Sat July 28th 12pm to 4pm. On Sat morning they have SCCA autocross racing at E-town for those interested 9am.
I think that a BBQ at OBI would not be a bad idea unless guys want to go to Hempstead state park which would I think require a park entrance fee. Should be worth it.
Or we could combine a BBQ ,E-town day Sat at E-town but I don't know if they will allow that since they have food vendors. I'd have to find out.
What do you guys think so we can start putting this thing together?

We have to decide on either Fri 5pm nite or Sat.,12pm for the track. The weather is usually nice and cool for Fri nites,except I'm sure it will be a challenge for some to make it.

1.E-town for Fri nite
2.Hempstead State park BBQ for Sat morning or noon
3.Captree for Sunday morning.
All for the last wknd of this month July .
There will be a park entrance fee for the park on Sat but still much cheaper than the entrance fee for E-town.
Can we start the planning and collect the names of those who are interested in the park and BBQ for Sat and the track for Fri?
