Dynamic inflates the outer chamber on a hard turn to hold you in the seat better. The pulse function is basically a "massage", I think that it shuts off automatically after 10-15 minutes. I do use the heat function in the winter and its nice. I don't have the A/C seats in my E, but my wife has it in her Expedition. I rarely use it, as it is just too much cold air directly on the ole nut sack.

I love the ventilated seats. It doesnt blow cold air, just pulls air through the seat from the seat bottom, through the back. I use it every time I get done playing hockey, and it cools off my butt and legs on my drive home.

Looking! (previous: CLS55)
The pulsing seats are nice, but the Dynamic option is awesome! I absolutely love it, and literally everyone who has ridden shotgun in my CLS55 has commented on the Dynamic seat feature. I can picture the novelty wearing off for some people over time, but if you drive the car hard it's a great feature to have IMHO.
Living in TX, we don't use the heated seats often, but when it rains, that plus the "cooling" option (yes, simultaneously) helps you dry off more quickly. The "cooling" option certainly doesn't hurt in the heat, but doesn't do that much for cooling per se -- it's more to keep you dry (by preventing perspiration from accumulating).

The ventilated seats only pull the air that is in the cabin. They are not air conditioned. My wife had a Lexus and the seats were air conditioned and were tremendous. So the comparison to the MB seats and air conditioned seats is not that much in favor of the non air seats. By the way the feature on the Lexus was the only good thing about the car.![devil](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/devil.gif)

I agree, the air cooled seats in my 03 LS430 are much nicer then in the Benz. With that said I would not trade my E55 seats for any seat, heh.
The pulsating seat feature seems almost useless, is their some way to adjust them to make them do more? I see tons of buttons down their but I have no clue, I wish I had a owners manual...

Great option! My E63 doesn't have them because they weren't available and I sure do miss them.

The seats have computer fans in them for cooling. The standard 60mm fans aren't very strong though. Its a pretty common mod to upgrade them for stronger 80mm or 92mm fans. I upgraded to 92mm fans, see: https://mbworld.org/forums/c219/8443...ml#post8819570
If you direct the rear exits of the ventilation unit to the rear of the seats, it will help with cooling your back
