Look at what I ran into on the highway today...
This happened at 10am eastbound on the Kennedy Expressway heading into downtown Chicago. I could not make out who was in the car to save my life, those tints were dark. Unfortunately, I was in the S4 and not the E55, and there was boatloads of traffic so I couldn't see him open it up. It looks absolutely stunning in person.

Alright... Who the hell was driving my 722 without my permission.. and how the heck did they manage to cross the border with it..
Marcus.. See if you can track him down and ask him to return my car!!

I had a chance to get up-close-and-personal with one through our AMG contact... I couldnt for the life of me convince him to let me take out for a spin
, but I had an opportunity to spend some time with it and it is a nice upgrade over the regular SLR.. I especially like the interior changes.
The one that I looked over was the first sold here and was shown at the Toronto Autoshow. I didnt get a chance to meet the lucky guy who took possession of it but I am sure he is enjoying it thoroughly.
Marcus.. See if you can track him down and ask him to return my car!!

Hey Marcus, you have a very nice stable. I was a big fan of your old SL600. But I'm sure the Z06 more than makes up for it. I also saw you on the NAGTROC forums, you're getting a GT-R too huh? Nice.
I have still never seen an SLR on the road in NY yet. And I've seen everything. In Vegas I saw a few.

Thanks man. The SL was a fantastic car but it was a bit redundant because although it was fast, comfortable, etc - it's a GT car, not a sports car. I found myself yearning for a bit of rawness, banging through gears and whatnot which is what brought me to the Z06.
And don't forget that this is the SLR722 - not your everyday SLR. Check the link I posted. This car is the business.

Same thing happened to me last week when I saw a red Ferrari Enzo heading in the opposite direction down US1 (btw, I've seen a Noble M12, Ferrari F430, Fisker SL65, Murcielago, and Diablo travel this same road during this spring/summer).

The "SLR Guy" in our area (what we call him) was given the option of buying the 722, he purchased it and immediately FLIPPED it to a guy on the East Coast for a 100K more. Flippin cars like houses...oh my!!

I got to sit in that one at the dealership. Gorgeous car but I don't think I would last more than 60 minutes in that seat. Not very comfortable. Of course, it I owned one I would just bring a pillow.

hey Marcus, i believe your mystery man in the SLR 722 maybe the man himself, Michael Jordan. my wife saw him and his son about a couple years ago in a "regular" SLR at her work and i heard he has the new SLR 722 now also

there is something about that car asthetically that just doesnt look right, Ive never loved the SLR'd looks, performance is drool territory no doubt, looks like McLaren and I both like lightweight Japanese wheels

I saw one at my local dealer yesterday,it was in for its first service.My sa told me that it was one of his clients cars,and that the same guy also had 3 other regular SLR's,and a slew of other high dollar MB's. Now thats what I call big money.

I had a chance to look at MJ silver SLR... license plate said MJ 6... not sure if I remember correctly... wow 722 looks really nice !!! Marcus thanks for sharing !!!
