vadim,
i am all ears on forced induction.
please keep us updated.
also, any information on lowering via the star machine. as i work for a main dealer. i would very much appreciate this.
with the x-pipe dont you lose back pressure on the exhaust? as i was going to have a resonator delete but the exhaust place had advised me not to do it as i would lose back pressure. so all i have is secondary cats deleted.

X-pass pipe is about 5 lbs. vs. stock resonator which is 10 lbs.
There is no loss in backpressure and it is mostly a mod for a better sound. I do not expect much in terms of HP gians, as AMG resonator is pass through design.
As far as FI for 63s, I am getting more and more inquries. I am looking into several possibilities next week and I will start a new thread.

Took the manifold apart on 63 and here is what inside:
Twin 72 mm Thottle Bodies. I do not see any gains from playing with those.
I went ahead and installed heat spacers while the manifold was out. It should be a very easy 1 - 1.5 hr. install. Intake manifold is made out of magnesium and does not even need to fully come off to slide spacers in.
Thanks to the heat spacers, the intake manifold is now 30-40F degrees cooler and does not become a huge heat sink. Intake temperatures now come down significantly quicker and stay lower during city driving. I can now open the hood after the car was sitting hot and put my hand on the manifold.
The Heat Spacers are available now on introductory special - $239 a set ($289 Regular, Save $50). Two sets of intake gaskets are included.
Underdrive Pulleys are coming this week and we are starting on headers tomorrow.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Vadim, excellent work!
Since headers are next on the list, are there also plans of doing a complete system (to save weight and improve sound) from the headers all the way to the back?

Thanks!
Stock AMG is exhaust is very good. It is stainless 70 mm (2.75'') pipes and good flowing mufflers and cats.
The cost of making a better one is just too high. Supersprint makes one and it over $5000.
If you are looking to improve yours and get more rumble I would do an X-pipe and than open up factory mufflers and pull out some packing.

Looks like you'll have a stage I setup ready soon for the M156 engine.

Wow, I hadn't seen this post for a while. That's a lot of progress in a short time. Good work. Since I've decided to keep the 63 for a while I'll be calling you soon

Why an X-pipe... Is it to equalize flow? I noticed the stock system already has sort of an H-pipe before the secondary cat's, Is the X-pipe really needed?
Mine is just straight pipes but I'm thinking of changing to one of your X-pipes.
Also, why not remove the secondary cats as well, do you feel it would kill too much back pressure and possibly loose a little power... Cause I removed my secondary cats and it seems to have lost a little kick and I'm debating whether to put them back or not, but I'm not sure yet as it sounds awsome.
Thanks
Sean

You are not going to loose any TQ.
However secondary cats removal will trade some TQ for HP on top, but not a lot.
