Seriously though, on the highway, at 200, in the pouring rain, i get little jerks from the ESP, thats it... the car is rock solid...

stay away from big puddles though...

At that speed you won't have time to react to a puddle.

haters crazy
Congrats on the tires. I love my RA1's and will definitely be looking forward to upgrading to the 888's. Its a good excuse to put my 18's back on the car and wear out the RA1's, they have lasted a surprisingly long time for R comps!

Chiromikey- I think DJE55 might have you beat on the 60' with T1R's. Whats your best 60' on them?

You guys know I've been a Toyo fan for a long time. I've ran a 1.61 on RA1's and 1.65 on the T1R's. Considering you're running 19's to my 18's, your 60' time is pretty close. Your 1.71 is by far the best I've seen for any 19" tire. Go Toyo!

..
Do you T1R owners warm up the tires when at the track (burnout)? My experience with the T1R's have been 2.3 60ft at best.

2-3 second dry burnout or until i see smoke, tire pressure at or near recommended pressure (25-35psi), and leave off idle (no stalling/power braking) by quickly mashing the pedal.

R888's anyone anyone?

Guys...you know anyone that has them in stock. I upgraded tires/wheels this week and tried to get R888's from Edgeracing in Miami and they didn't have them in stock yet. They said either next month to the end of the year??? The sales rep said he has been waiting for there arrival for awhile?

I ended up getting T1R's all the way around (arriving tomorrow and matching them up with CCW SP18's)!

I plan to upgrade to the R888's as soon as I find them. I don't mind going out of state if I have to...you guys got a guy give me a holla!

MIG -- what was your 60 foot on these R888s? Can you PM me a contact for these? How would you compare them to the BFG-drag radials? I could only cut a lame 1.84 60-foot stock with those. I was not impressed with them.

owkay, i am fairly new to tires and have very little understanding on them.
My tires on my car are currently the following
Firelli Pzero rosso mo 255/40 zr 18 (99y)

Now from reading a hear allot of talk on mich PS'2.
My main issue currently is, my traction in 1rst and 2nd are bad and i can never seem to get a good launch with out feathering throttle very lightly.

Now I live in Kuwait, which is a very hot country and rarely see rain. I want a tire that
gives:
  • Great traction
  • Good stability for high speed driving racing 260 kph or over (not very often)
  • Survives Kuwait heat!
  • Be used for daily driving

Would really like to hear some feed back on this thanks
Khalid

My old toyo t1's were great, until halfway thru their treadlife and they became the noisiest tires i've ever owned. the t1r's were created with different side treads to combat the noise issue, but i'm curious if it really worked.
