feels like a clutch slipping
When I use kickdown, I sometimes feel the car revs are flying off the rev counter, but the car is not going any faster. It is like a clutch slipping in a manual car when you try and accelerate. The engine is screaming, revs are building up but it seems to be more engine noise and drama than action. What could be the problem?

I had the same thing happen to me when my supercharger stopped working. My problem was an electrical failure that damaged the ECU. New ECU fixed the problem.

Possibly two things...
Heat generated from mods affecting timing which is being retarded by the ECU along with the s/c bypass valve. Remedy: Isolate the s/c cooling circuit. Install a second water pump with a larger s/c radiator. Manny posts on how to do it.
The 03 version of the Tranz is limited to 600nm. Once breached the bypass valve is invoked killing the torque. Remedy: Have the Box beefed up and install VRP's Tranz control box to remove torque limit.
Regardless of what solution to use, both mod's would benefit any 55.
My 2 cents...
