E63 impressive vs. 2007 Z06

too bad guy
Regarding 1/4 mile times. I ROUTINELY run 12.5-12.6 in the 115mph range..these are not adjusted but actual times. Not bad for a 4,600lb car.

I thought other 63, Mercedes owners would be interested in what was said, I WAS SUPRISED at the outcome and the opinion that was formed.
I was very excited to see the E63 infront of the multi-camera setup, and my post did not say the 63 dusted off the Z, just that in was impressive.
My personal experience whilst nubile is still plays a large part in forming my opinion. I thought you guys would be happy your AMG was king for two weeks on Dirty Sexy Money . I was thrilled some other folks had discovered the sleeper nature of the E class AMG.
night

Some guys drove around an E63 on a TV show, some guys drove around a Z06. The guys liked the 63 better and thought it felt faster. Who are you calling out? What did I post that I should be "called out on"? The facts are not tales they are real life experience , mine and people I work with everyday. They do not give a crap about the E63 just thought it was more of a car than expected. How can this be a fairy tale when you own a similar ride? You obviously like the E? Could you beat a Z06 from a dig? up to 60? Would you be obliterated? What others percieve and believe about my brand is important to me. Respected drivers who experience different cars every two weeks showed enthusiasm over the E., They drive much more capable cars, but truly loved the 63. Thats all .
Had the Z06 destroyed the E63 it would have made no difference. The POINT is they have LOVE for this sedan, and respect the level of comfort and speed to a degree that would cause them to perhaps make a purchase. Thats cool in my book

just go by 'seat of the pants' feel or by what they read in magazines. I also know that one car can differ from another, even with the same options. It's the real world numbers we should be interested in. That being said, it was questioned since day one whether the 63 'really' puts out 507hp or that it is not as fast as the 55(forget the Z06,I have seen several at the track 63 or 55 doesn't matter, the Z smokes both). Anyway I could only attest to my car and I said from day 1 the 63 is 200-250lbs heavier than the 55)I don't care what MB says, I have seen 'real' world numbers. That alone accounts for .2-.3 sec in the 1/4. Even so for my 63 to run 12.5 at 115+ I have to be producing AT LEAST 507HP.
P.S. Will be at E-town either WED(8/1) or FRI(8/3) weather pending if anyone is interested and wants confirmation of my #'s.

You should try to come down on Oct 8th to MIR. We have the track all day and we already have a couple of guys from up north coming down. Check out that thread and bring the 63 down. I think so far we only have one 63 signed up.
Interesting numbers - how much fuel?. I'll try to hit the scales this week in my car. My '55 is a pano car with everything except park/distronic and trunk closer.
My car usually weighs in anywhere from 4,320 to 4,350 lbs on the scale, with me in it. That 250 lbs of extra weight that you are carrying is costing you, comparatively, 2/10ths.
I am going to try to make it down next Friday (8/3). Maybe this time, I will be able to get out of the office on time.

Fall is coming, football and racing WOOHOO.
I miss your DA calculator
I cannot wait to see your 65 run or any of your other cars.
Your a class act thanks for your support!

Your car is a classic beaut! I bet its a bit heavier than you think due to the PANO roof. This makes your 1/4 mile runs more impressive. We should all weigh our cars. Mine is missing some parts and will be going through Jenny Craig(custom rims) 18 lbs per corner loss! I think the cars make the advertised power but they are also heavier than advertised.

Wow, I did not realize your car was nearly as heavy as mine!!
Did you ever get her into DYNO MODE?
I would imagine your going to hit 12.3@117 this fall likely with consistancy.
Let me know the video to dyno mode is here
