E55 vs C32

Hello gentelmen:

Can anyone here help me out with a speed difference question. I have a 04 C32 and want to upgrade to an E55 but I saw this post:

"The E55 pretty much pulled from begining to end. From 0-100, the E55 was about 2.5 car lengths ahead of the C32. Both cars had ESP on, sport mode(s) on, did not power brake, etc. Same results from rolling start. However, I did give the C32 about a 1/2 second jump once rolling at about 10MPH and it was tough to reel him in until about 80 MPH."

Now everything I have read says that the E55 should win by about 10 car lengths, stock vs stock. Since the E55's are in the low 12's and the C32 are running low 13's. Have you guys come up against a C32 with these results?

I find it hard to beleive that my 6 cylinder can run this good against your 8's

Thanks in advance!!!!

See yeah

I have both cars with my E55 being a RT stage 5 and running a best so far of 11.75 and the C32 with a RT stage 1 with a best of 13.00 never ran them stock vs stock but the E55 will be a VERY nice upgrade

according to Motortrend the '03 E55 runs 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds, the '03 C32 runs 0-60mph in 4.77 seconds. the C32 hits 100mph in 11.8 sconds and the E55 hits 100mph in 9.7 seconds. Hope that helps.

I had a C32 & a C55, they are both great cars, but they're nowhere near an E55.

a healthy stock E55 vs a healthy stock C32 will be no contest..

but keep in mind you give any car .5 second jump.. and you have to work hard to reel him in.

I have both.. and I have driven both modded and stock..

C32 with pullies and sprint booster will surprise many stock E55 from the line. The C32 will stay with the E55.

After 80 to 90.. it will bye bye C32.

My 03 E55 is at the dealer getting a new torque converter, new radiator and new kompressor clutch. The car always felt fast, but something was not right. The shift were very rough and it felt sluggish at time. I have no doubt that I was missing HP and TQ.

My C32 feels more rough, and you can feel the speed build up. It feels quicker, since is more raw.

LOL!! I remember this argument from 3 years ago. Give the initial quote all the credibility you want. If you really think the C32 is even close, then go get some support in the C forum.

Hey there:

I DIDN'T believe the quote, that is why I came to this board for some GOOD info. If you read my post, I was the one that said the E55 should win by about 10 lengths.

Oh well, thanks to the guys who posted me some GOOD info

And to you my friend, LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS

See yeah

And thanks again for the info guys

I owned a C32 and now an E55. No comparison whatsoever. The E outperforms the C in a straight line at any speed. Get them in the twisties and you have a different story!

Both great cars.
