Evosport Performance Rotors in Stock!!!!
evosport upgraded performance rotors for the W211 E55 AMG and W219 CLS55 AMG cars are now in stock. I have 3 sets ready to ship.
Designed as a direct brake disc replacement for the OE 55 AMG brake discs on all four corners (No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE AMG brake calipers). Not only will the upgraded multi-piece "floating" discs help mitigate brake fade, but are lighter than stock and reduce unsprung weight by a total of 34lbs. on all four corners! This means better acceleration, braking and cornering. In addition, you get to maintain the AMG calipers without going to a more expensive solution that requires replacing them. Available drilled/slotted or just slotted. Front 14.2"/360mm, Rear 13.0"/330mm. For use with OE AMG brake calipers only - E/CLS 55 AMG Kompressor.
We also have the upgraded Pagid performance brake pads and stainless steel braided brake lines available as well. Call or email us for more info.

Drilled rotors shown below (drilled/slotted only available now):

$1999.00 for the set of 4. I can a test to these. They work wonders on braking. This weekend I am going to put them through the test to see if they fade. By the time I am done running all you see is smoke coming from them. Afterwards I will pull them off and check for warpage.

W211 E55 AMG
Thats more than twice what the stock rotors cost. Do they last twice as long, or do they brake twice as hard?
Well, as long as you're sharing your findings, then you're providing a service to your fellow E55 owners and forum dwellers.
If so, +2 points for you!
The reason for pulling them off and measuring them is that I am in the process of lets just say testing. Can't let any cats out of the bag.

What does a set of similar quality cost for other cars. The hats are billet and the discs are Coleman. I was hunting for a better "deal" for years, but really $2K ain't bad. I agree that they could be made and sold for as low as $1500, but anything under that would be really hard (to me). Maybe we'll see the prices drop with time. I didn't realize that a set for say a Viper was that much less.
Now, I know we pay the MB Tax on most mods.

Got it. Sounds interesting. By any chance, did the Viper ones also have the parking brake on the rear? That is the biggest issue with making a kit for these rides. Making a billet hat that can still handle the parking brake. I considered just taking mine out. It made the project about $1000 cheaper. The fronts are easy and where most of the weight gains are. I just wanted some all around.

I don't remember...
I think the price is ok, they look like nice pieces and the E's brakes are larger then the other cars I mentioned. I like the 1500 better though...

That bottom pic with the HRE wheel is my set. I was one of the first to have the new rotors from Evo at the time (2005) and the weight savings are incredible. I still have them 18k miles or so later with no issues. I actually had Evosport put on the Porterfield R4S pads too and that completed the brake package with reduced fade and dust.

These rotors are badass.
If you've ever built rotors at this quality yourself, as I was doing for the IS (but stopped due to the IS-F), these aren't marked up hilariously with an MB Tax like most of the aftermarket parts.
Unless you're making them yourself, you're going to lose out to the guy making the material to make a profit because you know he's worth it.
Just my two cents.

I agree on the price and quality not being too bad.
VIC: Yours are the proof for me. They are getting old and I noticed a bunch of small cracks in yours. It may be time to upgrade to the new generation?

Just checked no cracks, not sure what you are talking about unless the crack you are talking about was your a$$ showing while you were trying to fix your pulley Now that might be a problem.

Vic: I am serious, you do have some mini cracks. It is only natural after all the miles and your driving style. That's why I want some!!
