If you do not have the revised pads, you are entitled to replacement under warranty. FYI revised front pads implemented into series production 12/07 (VINs A995068, A082635, F125253); rear 7/07. PM your email address and I will forward a copy of the DTB that shows the difference between the original and revised pads so you can check to see which you have. Include your VIN if you want a MB datacard listing equipment, codes, initial delivery date, etc.

E63,,,not any more,,,BMW X5 50i
I tried to get this done on my vehicle, but the dealer refused. Again, they said it was at their discretion if the pads get changed or not. They said that my vehicle was performing "normally" and that they would not change the pads. They offered to change them, BUT I would have to pay for the pads and labor. I am looking for another dealer to get this work done. Being in Tennessee, there are not that many dealers in the state! This is bull. I also posted this on the PL, but some of the other owners there did not have a very sympathetic ear, and some got down and out nasty. One said that I didn't need to throw the PL "under the bus" because "we" have such a good thing with AMG and the PL where we can vent our issues and that AMG responds so well. After a few posts, I called this guy and idiot, and the mod, gave me a final warning not to call people names or I will be banned...........so goes the life on the PL.

2007 E63 AMG
I did try that long time ago at House of Imports Mercedes in Los Angeles, they said my car was driven for awhile and brake pad can't be replaced for free, I need to pay. All they want is money.
Service is bad.

I sent an email to Jack Rolo (Shop Foreman) at American Service Center located in Arlington, VA. I know Jack personally, he checked out my 07 E63 AMG, and advised me that I had the new updated pads installed. He showed me the DTB, shined a flashlight at my calipers and personally pointed out the new pads design to me. He said that the brakes will squeal under light braking applications. And that is the only time this occurs on my E63. AMG doesn't recommand putting on anti-squeal or brake paste on the backing of the pads. He said AMG and Mercedes are aware of the problem, but currently nothing can be done about it. I'm in somewhat of an agreement with him, we talked about this in great detail.

My E63 is a designo car in pewter, or as I call it, it's dark gray/silver metallic with a graphite leather interior

Intellilogic,
According to Jack Rolo's business card, he's listed as the shop foreman.
