EVO vs. E55. Curious if this is someone from the board. Maybe someone in NY?

The EVO doesn't look that fast and the E55 crawls out of the hole. Almost looks staged because I know my car launches much harder.

as he rightfully should have done...

otherwise the race would have been boring...

Im sure the second half of that video is alot less fun from an evo owners perspective.

I played with an evo the other day... it was fun, but i both out ran, and out braked (first time for me - good fun) him. I thought it was all in good fun, but he wasn't smiling when we were done. He looked angry that he lost...

Looks like the guy in the 55 was asleep beside the road when he heard this awfull whining noise that awoke him, he then decides to take chase to find out that weird sound was. I'm waiting for part 2 of the mystery.

Don't underestimate a properly tuned EVO, or STi for that matter.

If you look carefully, the Evo has already launched and the 55 's rear wheels have not even begun to spin yet.
Either staged that way or the Evo had a BIG head start.

I raced many Evos here...and yes they are very fast of the line...

If you stock and 360 HP Evo with give you are run for you money in 1/4...

If you stage 2 moded then 420 Hp +...

Raced 480 HP EVO and only catched up with it at 130-140 and then we runned even to 160...then I pulled slowly on him...

Rolling start, since he has Turbo Lag, its no contest I jump 3-4 car on him and pull away...

So never underestimate you enemy otherwise you will be surprised...

It doesn't look like any street in Yonkers that I am familiar with. Maybe it is Yonkers, somewhere else, USA? I was kind of hoping that it was someone on this board from NY so we could set up another race with that EVO.

Well, there are a few 10 sec STIs in Westchester as well as a 9 second talon and a 10 second S4 (EvilEmpire knows him and I got SMOKED by him). But these are all gutted/HEAVILY modified cars and its really not fare to compare it to a "luxury sedan" lol. Mad props to you bro, I hope to see your car some day...I'm just waiting till this damn lease expires so I can get something that'll blow your doors off . Take it easy man

Thanks. Are you in Westchester? What day do you guys have your meets up there? Are the 10 second STIs that you are referring to, running 10.1s or 10.9s? And is that on the bottle?

Frank here are some EVO and DSM(Talon,Eclipse) times with and without using NOS:

Evo's:

http://www.dsmtimes.org/times.php?He...ype=evo&Page=1

DSM's(Talons,Eclipse) like mine pictured below!:

http://www.dsmtimes.org/times.php?He...Type_2g&Page=1

DSM's also seem to trap higher than EVO's.

So don't sleep guys! I'm shooting for mid to low 11's @ over 125mph full weight!

Definitely lacks the quality of a Benz no question however,a 550whp Benz will start to pull once the speeds get over 130mph + quite possibly due to the gearing of the AWD . I am willing to find out so stay tuned my brethren.

8 second EVOs without NOS.. Wow.
But, I don't care. Italianstallion are these low 10 second cars or high 10 seconds. Is that Talon the fastest one?

Carl, we are headed to Westchester in late September...
