IMHO, MB has been doing a better job with its current design direction than BMW, and Audi is ahead of both in that department...
I think if the rumours that the W212 E will be evolved from the W221 S, and there is no reason to doubt that rumour given how beautifully resolved the design of the W204 C is, not to mention the highly regarded engineering quality and driving characteristics, the W212 ought to be a great car in many if not all aspects.
