renntech belt is cracked after 4000 miles. Heard it is probably part of a defective run of belts

Have heard a few stories of C32 guys having trouble with the ASP's, but of course as my luck would have it, I was the first E55 guy.

ASP is inspecting my pulley to see what happened. Kleemann pulley back on and even running the original semi worn belt......getting on it pretty hard and still no belt trouble. Near positive it was the ASP.

I had an Evosport pulley that was a belt eater from the start. I swapped to a Renntech pulley and had no more issues for over 5K miles.

My C32: issues with an older style Evosport pullies (bad bearings) Evosport replaced the water pump pulley for free, but I had to pay for a new water pump cover and installation.

My E55. No issues with ASP, except more belt slip and car runs hotter than stock.

I think it works better than the dayco. My data logs show that the average boost at wot is better with the jag oem belt. The part number is NCC7740 AD if anyone wants to try it.

ASP

6,000 miles in 8 months

I think the belt slip around 2k rpm's has increased and gas mileage has definitely decreased but, you wanna' play, you gotta' pay.

Kleemann, 4K miles, no problems other than the "jerk" when the SC engages is a little worse, although that is an issue with any bigger pulley.

I have around 35k miles on my EvoSport pulleys. The belt broke recently – not really shredded – more like it snapped.

I’ve been pleased with the product and service.

I also keep a spare belt in the truck (where a spare tire would be if I had one).
