I have been pondering this but I dont know enough about the car to know for sure. I think I can hang to about 150ish then maybe he will walk away slowly. I am going to an exotic charity run on sunday and hopefully I can get some good runs in most of the guys there like to drive hard.

I'm assuming you mean with your CL600? Your CL600 will pull away from a Murcie - but I don't know about after 150mph - I ran a buddy's twice from 50-150 - once in my E55 and once in my RENNTech'd SL600.

The E55 doesn't do too badly against one either. The LP640 is a different ballgame though.

I think you can take him. Those things are insane out of the hole but AWD hurts them up top. Besides, how many ponies does your CL have, quite a few with that ECU correct?

If Juice and his buddies are smoking Murci's on the highway, you should annihilate them

Lol, but seriously, from a dig an LP640 should definitely be respected. Good luck, I still have a feeling you'll beat him (looking at your ET's and trap speeds)

With the traps your car runs you should take him no problem, oddly enough I ran one the other day on the way home to about 160. We raced from 30 to 160, I jumped him a little bit, but i never saw him gaining any ground. I was actually disappointed, after the race I waited for the guy to run again and maybe talk but he pulled a quick u-turn. It was an older Murci not an LP640, it would not have made a difference in the outcome for had it been an Lp640 I would have sprayed him.

They are beautiful cars none-the- less that attract a lot of attention, one of my favorite exotics.

There is a video J of an slr 722 and a lp640 and the slr killed the 640 out of the hole and stayed ahead. I think the awd "can" launch hard if the owner is willing to put some wear on his clutch. I say you have it out of the hole and the top end is where the v12 n/a would start to wake up as our small turbos max out.

I think a lot of Murcie owners are hesitant to drop a $10,000 clutch at 5k rpms. But that's just me.

However where I used to work there was this moron who drove around in his yellow Murcie slipping the clutch to 3.5k easy out of stoplights. I could smell the poor thing melting.

Jay,

I have a CL600 with the same mods as you. I posted a thread several months ago 'My CL600 vs Exotics' in kill stories threads.

I raced my friends 2003 Murci and started pulling on him after about 120mph. It was a wierd race because he was ahead of me when we started and then I caught up to him and passed him. My car is faster hands down, but I'm not sure about 0-60. I was very surprised that I pulled on him at high speeds. I definitely didn't expect the outcome; I don't think he did either. I personally thought he was going to pull on me at high speeds, but that wasn't the case.

LoL...why little...it makes around 505 HP at the wheels...620.9 at the crank...

1st of all I NEVER BS...I am not like that...Only 100% truth no matter what is the outcome...

I never said that I raced chipped S65...I said I was faster then tuned M5 from a stop, which was faster then chipped S65...

I raced stock 221 S65 one and he only passed ME after 180 and at that time I had heat soak and my belt was a bit shreded ( I found out 2 days later), so my belt was slipping like crazy at the TOP...car didnty pull to good at high RPMS...

BUT before I raced that 580 HP M5 and went till 165 and it was at least 4 cars behind ME when we reached that speed and was catching UP quickly !!!...

When I found out that my belt shreded...I stoped racing and went on long holidays...Then Oliver came and chipped that 221 S65, they said it makes around 680 HP...

The S65 guy came back for re-match and both M5 and M6 killed him from the STOP and from rolling start (M5 and M6 have SS exhausts, Evosport pullies and Evotech ECU)...S65 guys was very very upset...I beleive its very very hard to launch S65 from the STOP on regulaer roads, too much torgues and no LSD, so then he was trying to do rolling starts... and LoL that mods M5/M6 territory, the higher the speed the faster they go...7speed SMG and High revving V10 rules at higher speeds...

They even passed Edo chippied 997 GT3 after 150...and btw US..I never catched that GT3 since I dont luanch too good and at that time I had belts slipping and the car jsut didnt pull on TOP...and this was the same race when we went with S65, S65 passed ME at 280 and GT3 at 300km (185 or something like this)...

Then next day GT3 did 12.01 on our ****ty track where util now I wasnt able to run faster then 12.4, M5 tuned does 12.6, Lightfinger C06 Z06 616 HP does 11.78...but GT3 has Pilot CUPs and launches like 4wd off the line...
