REAL TIMES FOR STOCK E55's
I am looking for some real good opinions on stock times for a 2003 and up e55's. I have seen times and mph range so differently that I want to hear some opinions. I've read times from 12.45 @ 111mph up to 12.0's @ 116.4 mph!
Now, I know about track conditions, weather, driver (which isn't a huge factor with these cars) but over 4 tenths and over 5 mph! I think there's a bit of a descrepancy here! Please send your opinions and thanks in advance!

No discrepancy at all. Some have gone as fast as high 11's stock.
My car has been anywhere between 13:05 to 12:15.Weather,elevation and tracks conditions play a HUGE factor in it.

One more thing, do these cars heat soak badly? Is the intercooler big enough? Or are guys changing them?

These times are for real:
Stock E55 1/4 mile times
houseclass and enzom are members here and at the top of the list and have videos as well...
I'm in there with a 12.07 @ 116MPH with a video....

I've been there plenty of times but many say stock and it is not quite believable so I figured to get real answers from real guys! I am really looking hard for the right car and I am wondering if I should get one stock and do pulley and compuetr myself or buy one done already? DJE55's is interesting but I would like to pay less after researching what I can get a stock one for!

What ever you buy,you better make sure it has a warranty left on it.Mb repairs could make that super great deal not worth nuts when you get the repair bill.
Heat soak, yes, and the pulley magnifys the heat soak badly. The heat exchanger is what is upgraded, not the intercooler.Add on exchangers are available and do help with the heat soak.

believe me...my car was stock and still is!...i just traded it for a S600...it's currently at central florida eurocars for sale...if you want one of the fastest stock e55's? http://cfeurocars.com/used-inventory...e77ca495415c08
You amaze me with that 55 time!!
Good luck with the new ride, someone buy this car and add nos to break the current fastest run in a 55 record
How does your 55 compare to the larger 600?
I would love to hear your impressions of the 600 platform

e55...
much more responsive-barely touch the gas and the engine responds
very dependable-the best car i've ever owned
more agile-feels like a sports car...at least to me it did
sportier
more fun to drive...a drivers car
a little small for me 6'4"...and a baby seat in the back
s600
not as responsive at the 55 but once the turbos spool up, more of a rush than the 55.
tons more room...i'm always putting people in the back seat
easy to mod...$6800 gets you about an extra 130 hp to the rear tires...and under warranty
cake to launch...powerbrake to 1500 and hammer the gas!
a bit dated...but i paid $60k for a car that was $136knew...kinda takes care of the dated thing for me...next year i'll trade for a used 07s600.
i loved my E...my biggest complaint was i couldn't buy a race...nobody would ever race me. the way i looked at it, if i can't get a race, i might as well get something more comfortable and just as fast.
just my $.02 worth

Thanks,
wow you have gone through alot of Benzes.
Seems you decided to change rides vs move cities, LOL
Seems everyone wants a piece of the CLS.
You still have the fastest "stock" 55 run?
Enzom is 2nd?
Are you going to track the 600? Sounds like you have it in your blood.
Congrats on the new Sedan, I will try and get your car sold :-)

as my pay goes up so does my taste in cars!
i think it's still the fastest...enzom was one thousands slower...both of us
running that quick tells me these cars are in the 12.0 to 12.20 range at sea level.
today it's 103...i won't be going to HRP anytime soon...i'll get my feelings hurt.
the best way to explain the acceleration difference between the 55 and 600...my first hot rod was a grand national...my buddy had a 5.0 lx...when i rode in the lx, it felt like it would smoke the gn...but in reality, the gn always beat the lx. one was smooth and refined the other was like a scalded cat.

Wonder how fast your E would have gone with a lighter driver? How much more do you weigh than Enzom? Man I would agree the E55 @SAE and in good health is a 12-12.5 112-118mph car all day to Sunday. Your sub 12 times will be difficult to reproduce stock IMO. Hell your times are better than most modded 55's(pulley) ECU..Great write ups my friend I cannot wait to see some low 11's in your 600 after some mods. Hey what was your best 60ft achieved in the 55?
TIA

my '04 E55 ran 12.14@115.50 stock on a perfect day. On a typical day it ran 12.3@114.5 bone stock with radials. My '03 S600 ran 11.97@114 stock on drag radials on a nearly perfect day. Most of the runs that day were 12.0-12.1. With the renntech upgrade($6K) the S600 has run 11.27@121.88 and recently 11.24@123.4 with a dry shot of N20 of approximately 70hp. With the N20 it was ridiculously hot that day(97F) and it basically corrected for weather conditions.

So with good air and a nos shot you could dip into the high tens?

hopefully...10's would be great. I may convert my dry NOS to wet before the next runs and up it to 100hp. That should make 10's no problem. The only problem I'll have is getting kicked out of the track for no cage. I'll tell them how many air bags my car has and try to weasel out of it

seems that is highly likely. I cannot wait for the day I see a large luxo sedan with a 10k roll cage. OMG that will rock. Do you currently own a fire suit?
Just for fun you should mount a pseudo parachute on the A** of your 600!!!
Man lead the way, Obe Won
Are you attending track day @ MIR 10/8?
Your town is where I would be shipping the car
OFF TOPIC I know so sorry

Most of those track guys don't have a sense of humor.
