Hub centric rings

I need to get some hib centric rings for my Iforge Daytona's. I don't know how I have been living with the vibration for 1+ years now but I could not correct it with balancing or an alignment.

Does anyone know what the measurements are for the ID and OD for hub centric rings for the E55?

Isaac,
the OD will be what the diameter of the wheels are, the ID is 66.5mm

..........5x112. I think all MB sedans are 5x112.

........this hubcentricity stuff with aftermarket wheels can be a PTA. The hub rings have to take into account the inner diameter of the after market wheel you are using. As I understand it, the problem is not solved by ordering hub rings with the OD and ID of your car only. Ideally, the vendor you purchased the wheels from should have provided the appropriate hub rings for your car and the wheel.
.........I was able to solve this problem in the past by ordering the appropriate hub rings from my local Discount Tire store after giving them the make and model of the car and wheel.

am i out of line thinking that if you spend the kind of money on wheels that iforged rims cost, that they should be hubcentric to begin with??? even my cheapo $1k set of rims are hubcentric for crying out loud!!!

Yeah I literally can't believe Wheel Botique (dropped 5-6k) on Iforge Daytona's would let me buy the wheels w/o the hub centric rings. The steering wheel shakes badly at 50mph+

I asked them to look into what size rings I need. Otherwise it sounds like I will need to get measurements done by a local shop. Should the front and rears have the same measurement?

e55 baller, Did you buy used wheels or some wheels built for some other car? If they are 5x114.3 and not hub centric they are not for your car. There is no way that a custom built rim for your E55 from IForged needs hub rings to be centered?

IForged would have built them made to order in 5x112 and 66.56 hubs.

You should not need a hub ring on any custom built wheel. It appears you bought wheels for another application WB had listed on Ebay. I purchased 3 sets from them and my friends in Lauderdale use them all the time and never had an issue.

Hey E55 Baller, I had same issue as your when I order my 19'' Iforged Daytona , still had vibration on the sterling wheel . I talked to Steve at Iforged he sent me the new set of Hubring but they still so also I had Discount tire check roadforce and ballance few time but it wont go away . If you found the better set of hubring please let me know or post on forum so everyone who had aftermarket rim can fix their issue. Thanks .

That's very strange. You custom ordered a set of IForged rims and they needed hub rings?

Is Iforged not about to make MBZ hubs sizes?

Hey Baller,

Saw your posts and have run into the same problem as you on my Daytona's.... Come to find out that they will make the wheels hubcentric IF you order it that way!! But it's up to the distributor to tell you that.

They send you these crappy plastic hub rings that don't quite fit right with your set of very expensive wheels. I got some nice ones from www.1010tires.com go to the Accessories section.

Hope this helps... -Ghost

The rings should fit pretty snug. I would keep calling Steve until you get a hold of him. They have rings to fit the E55. Unfortunely I-forged only makes hub-centric rims for Porsche, BMW and I believe Corvettes and Vipers.

It's stamped on the face of the hub rings they sent....

The O.D. should be 72.62mm.

Ok guys , I just placed order a set of hubrings at Prestige wheel accessories . when I told the lady at PWA about Iforged 's Hubring and I also tell her the center bore # of the iforged wheels had a bit loose when I fit the plastic ring on the car without the wheel , She finally tell me there is a set hubrings they have which is match to the hubring I'm looking for because they 're smaller maybe 1/2mm or 1mm compare to iforged hubrings . So I purchased that set and will receive them on monday . I will let all you know when I find out .

BBS does not make custom ordered rims. I expect off the shelf rims to need hub centric rings. I don't expect it from a custom wheel maker. Again, poor business decision by Iforged.
