Cross country car transportation - Fair price?
So I'm shipping my car from LA to Boston and I got a quote from Intercity Lines that I've seen elsewhere on the forum as being incredibly good and reputable. Seems they are the official carrier for Barrett Jackson et al.
Anyway, for an enclosed trailer and fully insured, they are quoting $1,925. It is 3,000 miles from LA to Boston, so I'm wondering what people think of that price?
Also, do other people have incredibly great service and experiences with cross country transportation that they'd like to share?
Thanks in advance

I would ditch the enclosed trailer. I shipped a car From Tampa, Florida to Los Angeles, CA for $800. It was in the open air for a few days but that is hardly worth the premium they charge for an enclosed trailer.
I would shop around, i am sure you can ship it for under $1k

That price does not sound bad, I had a car shipped from CA to GA for @$1500 about 7-8 years ago and that was before gas prices went up.
Your price does not seem that out of line to me.
I have also had good experiences with Horseless Carriage too

I've used Intercity Lines and their service was superb. I used them to ship my M3 track car to/from the Bimmerworld shop in VA and I live in NJ.
Scheduling can be iffy but a corridor like between LA & Boston ought to make it easier.
I would highly recommend them for any vehicle moves.
BTW, they were designated by Porsche NA as official transporters of the Carrera GT, so that's a pretty good vote of confidence.
