problems with renntech elm

you've checked continuity across the splice points with the module fitted and set to zero? If so, and it checks out, it really doesn't make sense if you're still throwing a code.
As for checking the voltage - It is just another way of checking that the module is being bypassed properly. If you have the same value on both splice points then you can assume that there is continuity across the module.

You name it i've had it or got it...
hmmm...i dont think i checked the continuity at 0...it was at 1. but i figured continuity would be continuity....the power is off when you check continuity. so as long as the circuit is checked then you are good...i checked continuity at the splice point and even beyond the splice point jic.

going to try again to get it to work later tonight or maybe tomorrow...i am going to set the unit to 0 bypassing any function of the actual unit and do 1 wire at a time until i find the weak link or the problem at hand...

funny part was...frustration never ends. i was so glad it worked i wanted to see the car rolling so i had my gf drive it down the driveway and back. when she went down it she didn't go slow and the renntech carbon diffuser scraped. i was so happy the elm was working that i tried to play calm about it. luckily when i looked at it the scrape was very minimal and in a spot that you can not see on the bottom...thank goodnessssssss!!!!!
