I've never done that race but it was posted recently in the 215 CL forum by another member with stock E55 Vs Cl600:
I raced both cars at night temps at 78 degrees traction on 1st run CL gets out of hole slower but catches and takes E55 by 2 cars
Traction off last 2 runs and Cl has less spin out of hole takes E55 by 2 again
all 3 runs were to 130 mph
one run at 40mph roll at the end did net the Cl with about 4 cars on the E55

Bro that's a great price, but w/NO warranty left? & 85k on the ticker it might be a shock to you & actually hard to sell even at that price, these cars break down all the time and aren't cheap to fix...
Good luck w/the Sale though she's a beaut!!

The car really doesn't need anything and is in better condition that most with 1/3 the miles. Everything that breaks on the CL's has been replaced so it should be worry free for many miles. The car is rock solid.
It's way too nice to give to a dealer for wholesale so I'm selling it so I can get a GL 320 CDI. Yeah, I know it's going to be a huge change but I need a bigger family car suitable for long trips and hauling/trailering loads. The diesel GL fits the bill perfectly.
This is a super deal for anyone even slightly intersted. If I sell it for the $40K, I'll also throw in a spare set of 19" rims with good tires and the original AMG's that came on the car with basically new tires.

I've replaced pretty much everything that can/does break. The ABC system is new as are most of the ABC lines. It has new spark plugs and both banks of ignition coils. It also has a new intercooler pump and sensors as well as new pads and rotors.

I owned a W220 Sclass that ran outt've warranty, kept her for nearly 4 1/2 years 2 years w/ZERO warranty, everything eventually needed replacing including (2) full airmatic pumps & related hardware, A/C twice, including blower & related hardware, both repairs cost upwards of $2k your ABC is even more expensive...
Then my navigation went, including hands free Motorloa V60 system complete Fiber Optic wiring from front to rear, (I actually had this installed brand new buy dealer when I 1st bought the car completely failed (2) yrs later they only gave me 18 mo warranty w/this piece of crap, I never fixed that, they wanted $3k + to do this job) etc..
Yes please save yourself a pounding from dealer! sell it on Autotrader.com someone will buy it..If you had at least a 6 mo-1yr worth of warranty this car would fly out've your garage....
Good luck to you sir...
Having said this I still love Mercs! Just vou to never own one w/out a lot of full warranty intact!

That would not be a problem.

I'm gonna talk to my dad about this...I bet he'll say "with those miles? fuggedabout it" but it's worth a shot. I'll sit him down tonight and see what happens. I would probably just buy it but I gotta put it through his name so I need his approval and he doesn't even like CPO'ed cars, everything to him has to be new...but like I said, its definitely worth a shot.
That is a great deal, goodluck my friend! (goodluck to me too lol)
Question: I know nothing about used cars and warranties. Can this car be inspected and can a warranty be bought or something? Any extended warranty options? Thanks.

ItalianStallion, PM sent with my number.
It's off to Ebay this weekend unless it's purchased before then. I just put my order in and deposit down on a 2008 GL.
