You mean the hood, headlights, and fenders can stay the same?

so.... all the bolts location on the e55 bumper is exactly the same at e63? meaning its bolts right up with no problem? and the center grill fits directly on the stock e55 hood? and the headlights goes right in where the old ones was? can someone confirm this? cause once this is confirmed, im off to buy the parts

Why would you want to make your car look like a slower automobile?

You'll need inner and out grill, lower mesh grill and clips, both lower fog light grills and clips, both fog lights, both fog light brackets, atleast 4-6 of the inner bumper plastic absorbtion pieces, bumper cover, chrome strips for impact bars, and then theres a few more mounting pieces and misc bolts and small itmes on the inner side of the bumper cover. You'll also need to get the bumper cover painted to match your car obviously. It wont be cheap. There are some items that can be used from your old bumper, but they are very small in price, you might as well just buy them new and keep your old stuff in tact as one piece.

E-63 conversion

Are you smoking crack Dude? What are you thinking, dont **** your money away like that. If you like the looks of the e63 buy one, if not keep the look of your e55 and use the money for mods. Just my opinion.

It's interesting...I haven't read about anyone getting rid of the (slightly) slower 63 and moving BACK to the 55.

I hate getting involved in this E63 vs E55 business, but I had an '03 E55, sold it before it came out of warranty, bought a used '03 RS6... kept it for a year, had some problems with it - test drove a new E63... bought a used E55 instead. Could not go from an E55 to an E63.

So no, I didn't get rid of my E55 for an E63 - E55 guys aren't going to do that. We just won't go from our E55s to E63s to begin with...

Actually, I made the comment hoping juicee would spend an hour posting videos, providing testimonials and listing corrected time charts to show us why the 63 is a worthy successor to the 55.

Sorry, I was just fishing for a little entertainment.

Give it time it's the long weekend, he must be out of town.

They are getting close (e63's) 12.40's is pretty respectable. It's only a matter of time before we see some 12.20's in stock trim.

Sadly the overwhelming majority do not move from a E55 to a E63, bad for AMG & Mercedes. Sales are off for the E63.
The move will happen when the 63 turns FI from factory.(2010)
Same story as the W210 E55 to the W211 E55 the new body will get the next must have engine. (625 HP.and trick trans)

How long did DerickFSU own his E63?

Okay guys, points all well taken. Speed and quickness are important. Torque is an issue and gives that rush that we all crave. What some desire is the overall package, and the 63 does have certain advantages over the 55, granted?

Still, give us ONE documented case where someone on this board with an E63 has just said "ah fuchit", got rid of the slow poke and got back in something like Derick's or any 55....just one? Did I miss that post?

Are there any places better than others (price-wise) to get the parts needed for this conversion?

Thanks,
Jason
