Shudder at crawl

Anyone notice a slight shuddering while rolling along (as in traffic with foot slightly on brake and moving at a crawl). It is very subtle and my MB dealer says since I broght it to there attention every E63 does it slightly. Since I'm the only one to complain they doubt MB will do anything. My car doesn't always do it but it is anoying. It is less noticeable now (3700 miles). Almost gone. Anyone else notice this?

Just feedback througe the peddle. they won't do crap to it until they re-design and get the brake by wire down.

I noticed mine did it the other day. happened when I was letting my toddler drive (on my lap) up and down the street, and I noticed the car surging on a regular interval. Mine does it with foot off gas and brake, just cruising at idle

I've been told it is the torque converter but MB won't do anything unless more owners complain. I think that it is it.

My car used to do that when I had a bad MAF sensor.

I currently have a loaner ML350 that runs smooth as glass...but when I let it creep in traffic it shudders horribly. It definetly feels brake related as mentioned above. MB needs to solve that problem. My old Kia didn't even do that.....

Thought the E63 did'nt have brake-by-wire. Didin't they revert to conventional brakes?

Yes, however some of the "brains" of the old system are still there, such as judgement call it makes on a panic stop. I don't like it in my wife's E350 sport(although clearly not an E63), it gives the false feel that it can stop better than my CL55 but in reality it can't.
