Ordered the Jag belt now I get loads of residue with the Dayco... and also its ribs seem to be quite shallow relative to the OEM belt.
I assume the Dayco and the Jag are the same size? Is the Jag one also of the block type rib or is it continuous rib like the OEM belt?

do you guys think the supercharger belt slip is due to the type of belt?
should we feel less slip with the jaguar belt?
I have belt slip at least once a day from 1st to 2nd...
I punch the gas and the car jerks for a second and then full boost..
I have about 10k miles on my belt and I'm thinking a new belt will make help but not cure.

I DO believe we have slip though. When I was going through my belt nightmare, I had on all kinds of belts. Never heard any of them slipping or had jerking, but when getting it up into higher r's there was a huge difference from the belts that just slipped on nicely, to the ones that I had to really work into place. Then I heard that was bad for the supercharger snout so I ditched that idea.
Loved the Gates, hated the dayco and never had a chance to buy the Jag belt. Regardless, I would change belts yearly minimum. It can make a huge diff sometimes.

OK after much sweat I got the Jag belt on ... I dunno but mbe my ASP provided belt has stretched allot coz it deifnitely does not go on as easy.
Also I got Vic's S/C phenolics fitted which raise the S/C snout some 4mm I would guess so mbe this is where I lose the belt length. Had to grind down the end stops of the pulley tensioner to get it on.... which maybe was not the best idea ... anyhow its on!

I don't have the jerk problem all the time.. but its only once in a while when I don't really step on the pedal hard, I would feel a surge a power, followed by a jerk and power once more. Its all happens from 2k to 2.5k..
Its more noticeable when the car is warm or hot days.
