Anyone list gearshift times on the E55/E63 cars in milsec?

I want to know how these cars shift in terms of Milsec compared to other cars I own and have driven.

If anyone has the data please post for these shift times in all 3 modes , C, M and Sport

I would still like to know there has to be some factory data especially on this AMG SpeedShift for the 63

BMW claims 200 milsec for the M5//M6 I think i read this in the brochure

Ferrari F430 is like 150

Ferrari 599 is like 80-100 fastest i have driven.

Maserati is slow as hell for sure my E63 shifts faster than the Duo Select

Id like to see where these AMG's fall they have great engines and i am sure improving gearshift times would be of interest to many especially the modified 55 cars.

Also all the reviews on the new C63 i see mention that each mode is 30% faster than the prior mode but they dont list the baseline in mil/sec.

Someone has to have this data. Mercedes should list this data since their competiton does.

Actually, the brochure for the M5 states that the SMG shifts as fast as 80 ms. The Bugatti Veyron's DSG shifts at 8 ms

I wish AMG would publish their transmission shift times. I'm guessing at least 700 ms

If you want your car to shift faster contact level ten. I havent worked up the courage to drop the money on the trans but I've heard really good things about them.

The implication is that MB falls far short of the competition and they (MB) understand that.

They're marketing it right though by comparing it only to their own slow selves instead of looking bad against the faster shifting competition.

on the calendar comment, funny stuff.

Well, I'd probably say this isn't exactly Mercedes' tact either touting their respective shift times. "Yeah, we can keep up in the horsepower wars, but we want to retain some type of refinement"...that would be my answer anyway...

DSG is the way to go for an autobox...upshifts take 8ms to complete. I believe BMW and MB are developing DSG gearboxes, if not something very similar for future use.

With all due respect to SMG type boxes but a modded version of our 5 speed can handle 1000nm plus which makes it very street and strip tough.

Put 1000nm through a SMG and it would probably hand grenade.

I suppose were talking Chalk and Cheese... Completely different applications and technology.
