Wow, nice run DJ.

Quote: the M6 driver talke about this race for weeks in advance..

its legit!

7 spd, better high rpm gearing and remember the Z06 had a passanger to offset the weight difference.

give the guy credit! He must have a good steady income to have a fully modded M6.

Both cars had 2 passengers.

I have the RT intercooler pump upgrade as well as the aux. intercooler...so no problems their...I think it gets worse due to iats and aero dynamics so its a double edged sword. Also my under hood liner has been modded/cut to allow for the heat in the engine bay to escape via the long vent on the hood! At a stop it looks like I am staring through a mirage...so I know this helps as well.

The other vid of stock C6 Z06 vs Stock M6, the beating the stock M6 took looked way worse than the beating the Z06 took vs. the heavily modded M6..

The M6 would've had to gain at least 200HP & maybe a little TORQUE to do that kinda carnage, I find that hard to believe w/mods listed..
ALSO how are they hitting 195mph w/3.91 gears? I was looking into 3.90's for my C6 Vette, tuner said w/those gears in your C6 w/a4 automatic would limit your top speed to about 165-170mph, I went further and asked what if I was running the C6 w/manual 6 speed & ran the same 3.90's tuner replied you wouldn't do any better than 170mph.

The Z06 rev limit is 7000k rpm's does the bmw higher 8000-8500k rev limit change all this? Because in the vid the guy clearly calls out 195mph

I think the picture answers your question, and btw this is delimited stock M5. These M's are really fast at high speeds.

Gustav must have sent his agents to fabricate this race.

I have the 3.91 on my M5 and the INDICATED speed maxed out in 7th is right around 195 (on the heads-up display as well as the speedo). Given BMW's speedo's are off roughly 6%, this car was actaully traveling in the mid 180's.

Thanks bro! I removed all the gold chains for that run. I've only had the car for a couple of weeks and this was the first time I tried to actually launch the car.

Albert, I will gladly hook up with you and the other guys for the a side show after the track event. I just don't know if I can keep this car stock for that long? I've ordered a CAI for it and I'm looking at tunes. I would like to get a few more runs at the track while it's stock but I don't know if I can keep the parts sitting in the garage.

Ahmad, please include me in on the details so I can hook up with you guys.

Yes, the only significant differences are my Evosport manifold vs. his Supersprint type and he also has the Dinan 3.91 differential. My differential is stock at the moment. We each have different software, but I don't know that would account for much.

i'm far from even pretending to be an expert but i thought double clutching was just a slower (non braking) version heel-toe for downshifting or used for smooth upshifting when you weren't in a hurry.

...so enlighten me on how this would be faster for drag racing???

Whatever bro, Vin Diesel said it...that's enough for me to believe.

Granny shifting, not double clutching when you should. Your lucky that 100 shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake.
