2007 Moscow Drag Racing Grand Prix !!!

This coming weekends...I am going to run in Supercars class...

My main competition would be:

LPE ZO6 616 HP with DR, Evotech E55 around 620 HP with DR, Evotech SL55 more then 650 HP, some 993 700HP, 996 Mod, 997 TT stock, SC Dodge Viper, some other mod E55 (I think Kleemann K4), G55 may be Kleemann as well, Cayenne Turbo hihgly moded...may be 599 GTB, SLR, CGT, SL65...and some other exotics...

Have look here right now we are all in US open class:

http://www.raf-moscow.ru/index.php?m...age&pageid=172

No point ot run with 1500 HP Skyline and Supras...so we all going to run in Super Cars class...

I have installed IC mod and VRP Airbox and 1 tube today, cause other one doesnt fit, my resevour sits there, we are going to modify it later...

Also I should be receiving MT DR 275/40 on 17 inch tommorow and go to adjust ECU...for those mods...

I am thinking of removing all my seats to save some weght, I bet I cant save 50-100 kgs and all the staff from the trunk before the RACE on Sunday...

I can get some Racing FUEL 106 EURO (VP Racing) but I know it wont work if I dont adjust my ECU accordigly or it will see make more power ???

I thinking to run in DYNO mode and launch from 1500 RPMS...and bring some ICE with ME to out on SC btw the runs...

My wife will record every 1/4 I do or other E55 run for you !!!

Any TIPS or Advice would be greatly apriciated on how to make better run and WIN this event !!!

Good luck !

I would probably not run in dyno mode, since you might need ABS in case of emergency. You guys are going to see crazy speeds, and locking up the brakes at 250kph or more would be ugly. Very ugly.

For that matter, switching your traction control back on after 200 meters or so might not be a bad idea either. It might help in case the other guy has a problem, comes in your lane, and you need to make an emergency maneuver.

Check tire pressures after/before each run.

Remember not to use your parking brake after a VMAX run - you could weld the pad if your brakes are hot enough.

Please take videos. Please.

Seriously, good luck dude. You've been doing a great job repping AMG. Please provide us with plenty of footage, I'd love to see the high power Supras and Skylines too

LPE Z06, SL65, Carrera GT, SLR...those seem like some serious cars!

Race fuel might add another 50-75hp with the right tune but be careful of your gearbox my friend! I was thinking of doing the same thing but I think with all the these mods and DRs we might already be pushing the limit.

I wouldn't run anything over 100 octane fuel unless your car has been tuned for the fuel. Higher octane fuel can actually hurt your hp but it does give you a safety margin against detonation.

Thanks Adam...Not sure about Evotech SLR has a little problem...It looses 0.2 of boost somewhere...still faster then stock SLR but not as faaast+ the owner like to run his car to Vmax not in 1/4...I spoke to him last week, he is going to send it Germany soon to fix this problem...

No longer stock '06 E55, A3 3.2 Quattro, LRD4 HSE, R107 280SL
Race gas wont cost you power but it may not add any either unless your car has been specifically mapped for it ... the car may not pull as much timing with 107 than with 98 ... so it might help a bit at the line when temps start to get critical...

Your car should be very strong the way you want to run it ... btw try and lose as much weight as you can from the front of the car (not sure where) but lightening up the rear is good but it also reduces your traction ... remember to run with suspension in cruise mode - NOT any of the Sport modes... helps the car squat more and hook up.

Gear box in S mode ... select 1st and let the box change for you ... I would leave the traction control on ... forget about dyno mode.

Thanks Steve...Why NO DYNO Mode ??? ESP will still cut power if its NOT disabled...

Hopefully going to track today (if it doesnt rain again) and will TEST...

Bought NOS octaine BOOSTER which increases number up to 6 units...My tech said Racing FUEL wont do anything for ME also...

I am going to take out my front passnager seat and rear seats...anyone know how much do they weight ???
