Traded the beast!!!
After toying with that idea of trading in the E55 for some time, I finally gave in...
SL600. Miss the beast to be honest, but the SL600 is in a class of its own!
Will be taking more pictures tomorrow, already ran a Lamborghini LP640, will post the video in kill stories.

The 600 is fast. Very fast.
It's very smooth, very relaxed. Unlike the E55, it doesn't demand you drive it hard and fast, it puts you in control. I feel very relaxed driving the SL600. In my E55, I was always compelled to speed and race, the 600, not so much.
It's sitting on ridiculous 20 inch MHTs, looking to get rid of them for some BBS or HREs, 19s maybe. 20s hurts my performance and I can hear it rubbing in the front now and then.
Gotta love the drop-top, and the 0-60 is amazing to say the least. I know there's alot of debate over the 3.6 time but-- damn!!!- it's one quick car. And after running the LP640 today, I seriously think... I did the right thing by trading in the E55.
With that said, I do miss the E55. I missed it's loudness and viciousness, but I'm getting to love the quietness of the SL600. My brother owns an E55, so we play around. It's no contest, the 600 is faster.
All said and done, both are very cool cars with very different pesonalities. I lived the fast and furious, now I'm just enjoying relaxing cruises with explosive power whenever I feel it a must.
Oh, and the torque
is amazing.

wheels arnt that bad honestly, and i dont think you really lose that much power with 20's. the only difference i felt when i switched between my stock 19's and aftermarket 20's was less traction on the 19's on my SL55

They weigh a good 50+lbs, I figure a set of BBS LMs or something or other weighing in around 24-27 lbs can do alot of good in performance. I was told moving weight was the best to loose.

Congrats ; I´m about to do the same thing, have been thinking between SL55 vs SL600 but after reading this board and archives for quite some time, i decided to go for the SL600.
Is you car modded? If not, do you think to upgrade the power? I´m sure you know what this beats can be only with a simple ECU

Wow, amazing trade, I want one now. I didn't realize the 600 by bi-turbo, I thought that was just the 65. Did you get the ECU mod? I hear that's a no-brainer on that car.

Congrats Exodus. I had an '04 RENNTech'd SL600 as well. E-class and SL really are way too different to compare. I think the V12 Biturbo is the best engine MB makes. Hope you enjoy the car.

I would love to sell the rims. They were put on the car when it was purchased and have less then 300miles on them, they were brand new out of the box. I personally saw the installation take place. HW Motorsports on Harbor here said a set like mine fetches around 6, and thats what they quoted me for.

You can vouch to that? Some people insist that weight doesn't play a huge factor because our cars have so much power... so I don't know. On the one hand, I like looking like I stole Jay-Zs Mercedes, on the other... I kind of like my performance.
