Most likely not....it literally comes down to the brakes clearing by mm's.

Guess CCW guy kept trimming the inside diam until it cleared.

why do you need a 17" drag tire when u can easily run an 18" and have more choices for wheels. The issue of going to a 17" is thats the line where the tires become heavier because of increased side wall and your weight loss in wheel becomes a diminishing return.

Your worst nightmare...
Do true drag radials only come on 17's and smaller, let's take Mickey Thompsons for example...they only come in 17's right? I am thinking of just getting 2 AMG stock rims in 18's and throwing drags on them to see how it works....any suggestions. Thanks.

BFG makes a true drag radial (a very good one) in 18". I have a set on stock AMG rims. Haven't gotten to the track yet though.

Jody, I run BFG Drag Radials in 18", Nitto and BFG both make a drag radial in 18" The only time a smaller diameter tire really works better is when you to to a true slick which will allow the sidewall to crinkle. Get some 18" bfg's from tire rack and put them on your stock rim or if youre **** about weight like I am find a superlight 18" rim.
