Where is the best place to sell an E55?

Hey guys,

I think I might be selling my 2005 E55 and want your opinion where is the best place to advertise it for sale. I have read many times that the forum is not a good place to sell our cars. So where is the best place to advertise AMG cars? Autotrader? E-Bay? Craigslist?

I have a lightly modded, but well optioned car (wheels, brakes, aero stuff).

Thanks
Tony

I am going to be in the market for an E55 sometime in the next 6 months. I would like to know the answer to this because I need to know where to look for E55's that are for sale. Sorry if this was a highjack but I think our questions compliment one another. KM

Best chance is to post the car on all of them........

AutoTrader.com
Cars.com
EBay.com
Craigslist.org
MBWorld.org
Local Newspaper

It'll probably cost you $50 per listing (except of course for the free ones), but it is well worth it. I sold my last 4 cars online, and non of my cars stayed any longer than 4 weeks. Most of them sold in about 3 weeks.

Good luck.......

If you know someone that will do it cheap or have the talent to put together a website for your car, put the url in the ad. I sold my 540i to the first person that saw it from a site like my latest one: http://www.mybmwforsale.ca/ I'm buying an E55 when this sells.

i had a coupon for cars.com that made it $44, i'll look for it ... google it you may still find it... sold in 3 days , i priced it below kbb private party value... basically figure out whats the least amount you'd be happy with, put it up and say firm!

my 350z sold in 3 days after being on cars.com

p.s. and take LOTS of pics

Fair asking price?

My 2005 E55 is silver with a $91k MSRP, 30k miles in excellent condition. The factory warranty expires 12/08. I have about $10k in aftermarket mods.

I don't want to fire sale the car, but at the same time, I don't want to ask too much and still have it for sale 6 months from now. What do you feel is a reasonable asking price that will move the car?

I see that JRocket is selling his stunning e55 for $58k and his car has more aftermarket mods, less miles and longer warranty. Am looking at $55k max for my car?

Thanks again

sounds like my car's specs, and if I was selling I would be thinking in the low 50's to move it.....

Im not sure my price is going to cut it.One thing you'll find is the market is very soft for cars right now.Looks like I'll have to give my car away if i want to move it.Sucks, but its reality.

Sigh....I was or am I still? trying to sell my 2003 E55...still has Certified Warranty...but no one wants it....the market is really soft now, or is it just that E55's aren't that attractive anymore.........

But in my eyes, the car is still very beautiful and that is whats from stopping me from giving it away...Plus my ASP pulleys are going to be installed next week....I will be driving a close to 500 HP car soon...why give it away?
