The first time I ever brought her to the track (after three months of ownership), she ran a 12.07 @ 116.75. It just took me a while to learn how to launch.
I would bet that if someone gave me their E55 for a rental, and assuming that their tires are in decent shape, I could squeeze an 11 second run out of it. The car really responds to being driven hard and works best (IMO) with a careful launch. I'm not sure if there are any other stock E55's coming to the Atco rental in December, but I would love to make a couple of runs with one and see if I can't get it into the 11's.

I don't doubt you would get better times at the track than most. You are doing something right by getting your 60' times so low. I have my doubts that you would hit almost 119mph trap with a different stock e55, I don't think anyone else that I know of has come close. Most modified 55s don't trap this fast.

Awesome times man! I think the '05s are all freaks. I took my car to the strip earlier this year too, and unfortunately with my Yokohama's I was only able to must a 1.81 60' - but my 1/8th MPH was very similar to yours (92.78mph). The 1/4 trap equipment was off that day so the MPH on my slip is wrong, I only have the 1/8th MPH. I have seen most '03-'04s stay in the 88-89mph range and 113-115, but the '05s are all like 91-93mph 116-118. I am not sure why.

Just got back from Atco with a stack of timeslips all in the 11's.
Best run was an 11.775 @ 118.69 mph (1.710 60' time)
Also ran:
11.801 @ 118.34 (1.716 60' time);
11.805 @ 118.57 (1.713 60' time);
11.806 @ 118.48 (1.712 60' time);
11.808 @ 118.79 (1.720 60' time);
11.817 @ 118.20 (1.716 60' time);
11.824 @ 118.14 (1.719 60' time); and
11.824 @ 118.17 (1.720 60' time)
A bunch more 11.8's (20 runs in the 11.8's). I will post some slips later.
These runs were at various points in the day with various fuel loads. Track was too cold early on, but it warmed up. I hot-lapped to keep it sticky.
According to Ranger's weather station, the temp was 52 - 54 degrees, the DA ranged from neg 200 to neg 300, but the humidity was over 60%. Not too many racers were happy about the weather, even with the negative DA.
I think my car now holds the record for the fastest bone stock E55 on street tires. So that it is perfectly clear - I am running PS2's in 275 width in the rear, so the tire is slightly wider than the 265 standard widths. But I'm pleased.
