I have one last question what fuel octane are you running?
If the '05's are runnign these times I would expect the same for 06's as there were little changes between the 05-06's as far as I can recall except mbe the E63 steering rack?
I suspect there might be some tranny software change that came through into the '05's ... I am surprised there are not more tuning firms looking at the tranny software for more gains.

But I thought it was important that my pump (knock on wood) was functioning as it was designed to, run after run.I started with 93 octane, but when I left the track to through $15 of gas, the closest station only carried 92.
It could very well be that the 05 and later cars may shift a bit quicker. But I also drive my car harder than most, since I drive it infrequently. So my ECU and tranny may be primed to go to war.

If you do not have good track prep, you will spin. Many tracks do not prep on street muffled nights. On the weekends, when the slick-tired 800 hp monsters show up, they have to prep. Atco has very good track prep for rentals. I've never done a rental at E-town. When I go there, it is hit or miss.
Hope this works

I just wanted you to know,
Regardless of the negative DA and all of our friendly debates on the subject, I recognize GREAT DRIVING and great performance. I think you sell yourself short in the skill category. Weather aside, corrected or adjusted or just take it as it is , you are a very skilled driver. Your car with you driving is the fastest stock E55 in the USA, and quickest..Remember the car is not driving itself, man just want you to know how much respect I have for you.

Rudy,
How things going? I was at LVMS the week before and was only able to manage a 12.92 @ 109 so in all fairness your low 12 are still impressive

Things are going pretty good. Thanks. 12.92...see what I mean. People can't believe how slow this track is. It's funny, when NHRA is here they break all kinds of records but when we run our cars...their absolute dogs. Even the street bikes were posting horrible times, most of which were in the low to mid 12's. Ugly.
DragonAMG (Josh) was out there with the local P-car club. He brought out his car but didn't want to run it due to an oil leak. It was a shame that none of this club members wanted their times posted but I don't think there was a single one that broke into the 12's. (Bad driver mod!)

Not bad for an "old man" who "can't stay out past 10pm"
Just messin' man. As the kids would say, "you got mad skillz." I hope to see your car run someday at E-town. Any more info on that atco rental in December? I've been off of these forums lately due to being out of state and going for eye surgery. I come back and see a whole bunch of records broken, its all great news.
I'd leave the car stock, Enzom. Don't mess with it. I love modding, especially on the 55k cars...but with times like that I'd leave it be. You have times that most modded E55'ers would die for. Take care bro and again, a big CONGRATULATIONS!

I wonder what Enzom would run out my local track (Las Vegas Motor Speedway)? In theory Ezom's baseline dyno was a little weaker than my car so I should be able to (with a lot of practice) run 11.7x's out in NJ
Rudy,
Do you mean to tell me that none of the P-Turbo's broke into the 11's or 12.xx ?????

Holy crap that's an incredible time for a stock E55. You the man!

Thanks again, guys. I am going to leave the car as is and see what happens on December 5th.
Atco is still on, and I will PM'ing those that are "in" in the next day or so with an address so that you can mail me your checks. I'll post in the Atco thread.

Again, none of them wanted their times shown but given the fact that they were losing to slow cars, my guess is that only one of them actually ran in the 12's and it was probably a high 12 at that. Again, it wasn't the cars that were slow...if you know what I mean.Originally Posted by Roseylv

I have no doubt that my car would be slower out there. Weather and track prep have a huge effect on how these cars run. A 1.8 60' time vs. a 1.7 60' time can be the difference between 12's and 11's. If you can't put the power down, you won't run a good time.Originally Posted by Roseylv

I bet if you brought your car here you would be in the 11's, too. I am not so sure that I will run another 11.7 time, so I can't say anyone else can. It was the perfect run for me.
But the only difference between my car and most other E55's is that I think my car is just primed to run because I drive it fairly hard. My rwhp and rwtq is average for the 55. But to the extent that the ECU and TCU are adaptive, I think mine are just set to "go fast". I think at a track rental, where you will run 20 runs, your car could be just as quick and fast as mine by the end of the day.

Fabulous times bro.....man if that isn't the model of consistancy...see you 12/5.

You are so right!!!
Enzom, hope you do not mind...I was super bored so I went through all the times and corrected them to zero feet DA. You are #1 and actually lay claim to the top six runs ever in a stock E55.
Do you wanna gues which run is actually your best???? You have some amazingly consistant runs , I am so impressed with you and your car!
Your best corrected run
11/17/2006
11.834@117.905
11/17/2006
11.845@118.281
runs on 11/12/2006
11.86@117.8
11.88@117.4
11.89@117.3
Housclass
11/2005
11.92@117.5
all the runs are sub 12 seconds , and this is likely alot harder than you think.
That 11.775 is astonishing. Although the DA was negative it was actually within 100 feet of the DA Housclass ran at. Your 60ft times are insane.
Your quickest corrected ET on 11/17/2006
11.834(0 feet)
this ET is adjusted to 11.74.(-700 ft)
Obviously these numbers are not 100% accurate and should only be used to compare your runs from different days and times. Puts all your runs on the same day same track and does not take into account anything but air density.
Your best run , adjusted to the 2900 DA of Fontana puts you at 12.3, which is .4-.7 faster than the 63's and stock 55's. so your car is just FAST!!!

guys ask enzo about the secret gel he uses. He doesn't tell anyone about it. Back in the day enzo had a 300ZX turbo that was stock running low 11s. Rest of us were trying to get out of the 13s with exhaust, computer, and intake. We were all sure it was that hair gel. Thats what he means when he says "aerodynamics!"

enzo how come u never invite me to the track...not all of us can drive MBs!

lol. You are more than welcome to come to the track and run any one of your cars. Guys - Ricky has quite the stable (and the sense of humor).
Back in the day . . .

exactly...how much money did we spend to run high 12s...if only we would have known...so how much is a clean E55 going to run me?

Wow. The trap speed is rather impressive, but the 60' time on PS2's is absolutely SICK!!!!!!! TC on? Wonderful job man!!!!
