ASP Pulleys arrived Pics here
Hello all..
I mentioned in another thread that I would get the ASP Pulleys for my E55. They arrived today, I noticed that there is no official hi-res pics of actual ASP pulleys and some people are curious to see it. So I am going to post it here for everyone...It comes with a Belt, Water pump pulley and Crank Pulley...you can notice the weld job they did to the Crank pulley..
The Pulleys will be professionally installed by a bodyshop I use called Glenville Terrace Auto Body in Allston, MA....Here you will see the owner Barry...he's a super nice guy and does wonderful jobs on all my cars..

The evosport stage I for the C32 included a winshield washer bottle and some hoses. It is set up so that you connect the intercooler through the windshield washer bottle so you get more cooling capacity. You basically dump antifreeze/ coolant into the windshield washer bottle and have that act as coolant through the intercooler. You can also use windshield washer fluid if you want to retain the winshield spray function, but I heard the fluid eats up the intercooler core...

Seriously get some additional paint / anti corrosion treatment on the pulley before you fit it ... apply everywhere except in the pulley grooves and centre keyed tunnel. As you can already see its susceptible to rusting up ...

I hope there is more than just the three welds taking the strain of the outer ring on the pulley body. I guess the welds failing is what is on most peoples minds.
Its impossible to tell really how the ring fits on the OEM pulley body - hopefully it has a few keyed groves (at each weld perhaps) and the welds are there just to keep it in place - which is much more reliable.
No way to tell unless someone takes an angle grinder to one ... or we can ask ASP.

It should take a very capable mechanic 1-1.5 hours tops. The shop rate was $82.00 per hour. I also had my shop install my Johnson pump. Total bill was $205.oo NOT BAD AT ALL!

OMG!
Those welds in the first picture look SCARY!
They look like they were globbed on with a stick welder.
I sure hope the pulley was checked for trueness, and re-balanced after that.
Best,
RoydRage
