No worries...

I wanted something that would simplify the intercooler circuit and lessen the amount of lines so I like the idea of replacing the stock one with something more efficient.

Is it true the OEM heat exchanger has changed over the years from in/out all on LHS and on older units in RHS and out LHS ...?

The old MB parts picture of the cooler circuit we always see have the older setup it seems - my '06 has both inlet and outlet on LHS.

On my car (2003) I have inlet and outlet on separate sides of stock H/E..

I am not sure what it is like on the newer cars.. interesting though.. i didnt know this..

Well on the '06 you got inlet and outlet on LHS of radiator as you look at the car ...

Dont think it makes any real difference really other than the H/E may be a dual pass design on newer cars vs the older ones ...
