E63-Sprint Booster makes it less of a "sheep in wolf's clothing".

I will................... as soon as the package is available. I predict then he'll trade in his super E55 for the new super E63 You just can't beat a twin turbo 800+ hp E63, and that's only the beginning
Wait your car is Kleemann tuned, are you doubting Kleemann's abilities now to produce 800+ hp 63?
Again, no comments..............

On average were Juice, maybe on the west coast.
Let me see
SGC stock 12.0's
Fisk stock 12.0's
Siswati e55 stock 12.1's
Mige55 stock 12.1's
Me 12.3's stock on 20's
All these runs at Moroso in weather no where near as good as the north east. If my stock e55 would have ran 12.70's even in the heat I would have started taking the engine apart to see what's wrong.

So let me ask you a different question and we have gone round and round and round. But seriously.
1. Why is every sub 12.5 second pass in an E55(stock) done somewher on the planet other than west of the Mason Dixon line?
2. Are E55's faster in the East than they are in the west?
3. Perhaps there is something to this atmosphere stuff.
4. Does cold air help the 63 more or the 55?

All engines love cold, dense air. Some more then others, meaning engines w power-adders.Expect to see a 1% increase in horsepower for every 10 degrees the ambient temperature drops.
We've had some 20 degree mornings here in NY recently&the 63 runs like a completely different animal.Ridiculous.
S/C engines wont suffer from heat soak as easily also,so yes,the cars from the northeast most likely run faster/quicker then the cars in cali when the temp drops real low.
Does that make any sense?
It's the truth though
Rflow,thats f'in great man!

Albert, come to California Speedway on 91 octane and lets see if you can break 12.9? I think we'll have a lot of engines being taken apart
But seriously, all the stock 55s that ran so far in California Speedway has not had any trap higher than 106 mph and ET better than 12.8

You will not need to add race gas we have 93 here.

I agree.
The picture was little over the top, my apologies.

Yes, so far on average, I think E55s run 12.3 to 12.5 while E63s run 12.6 to 12.8 but as more and more data is being added, the 63 are getting better
I'm sure a reputable company like Kleemann thought of that while R&D
But if Kleemann does prove their case, would you be open to the idea of trading in your car for the better, faster, stronger, newer, and sexier E63 800+ hp Twin Turbo Kleemann Stage 1

Gixxer man this is up to you... You gotta go lower. Will a 12.09@116 satisfy you guys or does he have to actually BEAT the almighty Enzom?
Hell a newbie dragster in the East went 12.5 in a CLS and he had never been to a track, on stock tires he beat me by 1/10th , on HIS FIRST PASS and he had three passes sub 12.6...esplain that ?\
Seems the disparity is not the cars but the atmosphere at which the cars are run.

Plain&simple I have a cure-all,end-all for this discussion:
Top off the tank in the CLS& DRIVE YO AZZ OVER TO Rte.80& head east my man! Road trip to NY
#60
This could really be interesting, as we'll find out how accurate all these da calculations really are
#61
That would be about 10 tank fulls?
Hey why don't you go to one of the track events That Ahmad organizes....
Just line up a stock 55 put it on vid, you are the current champ and I trust you will do fine !!!
I will fly out and watch, hey yeah.. I could just fly there and perhaps a 63 owner will allow me to pilot the car in dyno mode. I will even go so far as to buy some 18" drag radials

Enzom mite be doing a track rental in march,I will definitely try to make that.
Shoot,if you fly out,you could pilot the E no problemo mang
Maybe by then I'd be able to put the car in dyno mode myself lol

This is all a bunch of crap!!! Bring your 55 to Cal Speedway on 11/30 and prove it. So much disrespect between brothers is ridiculous. The guy from Aussie is excused as most criminals (or spawn thereof) make decisions based on emotion not logic...

Haha!! This is like when Rafal and I got into it years ago. I remember throwing the same stereotypes out.
I can't really blame Greg. The poor guy has been a wiling participant in every E55 / E63 comparison we have tried to do since he has had his car. We did the highway day (that my car cut short) and Fontana. Like it or not, his car hauls *****. I dunno if he has done anything to it or if it is the only E63 I have played with enough but it holds its own everytime.

Two weeks ago I drove my first E63, belonging to a friend, and was totally shocked by how flat, laggy and unresponsive it felt compared to my E55 with AMG Sprint Booster.
Sorry fellows, but if you'd bought the E63, they've sold you a puppy!
There is just no way that anybody in their right mind who previously owned any of the 55K powered cars, would willingly "upgrade" to any of the new 63 powered vehicles (except DerekFSU, LOL).That leaves the new crop of unsuspecting, aspiring AMG owners who don't know what they are missing.
There is a small remedy for the long gas pedal travel, which delays the E63's acceleration until it's been pressed to the boards for a few long seconds.
I just installed in my friends E63 the standard Automatic version of the Sprint Booster (don't bother with the AMG version of SB in a car without the Kompressor) and the improvment was significant. My friend likes it, but he still cannot stop apologising for trading his 5 year old SL55 for this laggy, peaky, high revving car, which has no torque to speak of below 4000RPM.

Whether the E55 is faster by .2 on the 1/4 mile or not...I think it comes down to if you want to leave the car stock go for a 63. Looks better, more refined, updated, and its new.
Want to swap a pulley and flash the ECU and get a monstrous sedan? Of course you go for the E55.
'Nuff said.
About the 7 speed...my 05 CLK500 has the 7 speed tranny. When I had all my mods in (dyno tuned, eisenmann exhaust, green filters, and 75 wet shot of medical grade nitrous oxide) I started to notice the transmission becoming much harsher. The more nitrous I used, the more I saw that the 1-2 shift and 2-1 was actually becoming violent.
I've had the NOS out and the ECU reflashed to stock for about a year now but the tranny is definitely messed up. The thing shifts hard and there is definitely a delay shifting out of 1st gear. When I downshift to first using tiptronic, I sometimes even blip the throttle a little bit to get it from being so jerky or I just use comfort mode.
Now maybe the AMG 7 speed is strengthened over the old 7gtronic of 05 but I'm tellin you that I'm almost certain it was my torque that messed up the tranny.

this is beginning to sound like the bimmer boys..
"135 if UGLY and not faster than my 335"
"how can anybody buy a 135.. maybe they can't afford a 335"
"my 335 is the flagship of BMW and the 135 is just a POS...."
everytime I read those posts..
