178mm Pulley wanted
I am looking to get a 178mm pulley. I'd prefer not to get the ASP, although I would in the short run if I had too. I DO NOT want an ECU tune and that is the issue. Most tuners bundle the pulley and ecu tune as a package (stage 1). I only want a stage 0.5 ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Any tuner that has something or member that has a spare, please pm / email me.

Not for a decent price. I'll personally call Adam to verify.
VRP has their 2 piece. I think I'll check it out. I haven't even looked into it seriously until now. The EVOTech one is better than the ASP in quality (IMO), but it is still the OEM style, which I do not like. I want a fluid dampened one, dunno why. Maybe I'm just thirsty.

I believe LET will have a pulley soon for our cars. Guess we will need to wait.
OR
Evo needs to do a group buy for their pulley alone...with a price around $1K.
Just my opinion of course.

I'm with Jangy on this one, why pay the higher price when there are many choices. In the last few weeks retailers/shops have come out of the woodwork and become very aggressive with their pricing. This might be due to start up/R&D costs. The days of the high Renntech pricing is over unless you want the name. Quality and availability has come up and pricing has come down. It's a little thing we call "Competition" which is always good for the consumer.

Well, RennTech never came out with a larger version anyways and I am not in a real position to buy from their Southern California distributor. I'll take EVOtech's prices instead
. I always thought it was funny to have EVOTech all over RennTech's site, when their competition was EVOSport. Wild how the tides do turn.
Looks like my search is over. My intent to start this thread was to make sure that I knew all of my options. Now it looks like the VRP is the way to go. I have already PM'd with Victor and he will give us pricing asap (as he mentioned in the post about it). What I'd like to do is get a headcount in here of how many are willing to buy one from VRP (Vadim in California or VRUS in Canada, depending on your currency) so that we might can get a GB type drop on the launch pricing.

Hey jangy,
I ran my car with ASP only and no tune for ages. I tell you when I did the the ECU it transformed the car.... and if I were to do it over again I would get the combination for sure. I liked the fact you can just add the pulley and whammo instant go ... but the ECU smoothed it out alot and without doubt moved the car to a completely different level.

Is pulley all you had when you tuned?
What brand?
TIA!!

For the Enthusiast, By the Enthusiast! Your rep holds its own. Quality products at reasonable prices is easy. It is nice to see the current elite tuners understanding that. I've been very happy with all of my purchases from EVOSport, VRP, and hopefully soon EVOtech!

Please do. I'm sure we have some on the fence, waiting on that. Either way, assume 10 people when figuring out your price. I will round them up!

VRUS: Please PM me potential price range, since we may already be close. I was planning on going the '07 SL route, but it has the downside of not liking the VRP airbox. Just let me know how many people you want to drop the price a good bit. At least to $1500 delivered? The SL parts are $1200, but a hassle to organize for a GB. I can't wait to have an install party in SD to install all the parts.
