Amazing day at MIR, check it out guys......
We had a great time today at our track rental, it was a small intimate group with only 8 cars.
E55Jay: CL600
Blackbenz: CLK55 Kleemann
JamieFurman: Bone Stock C6 Z06
JamieFurmanJr: Acura TL A-Spec
CardCounter: BMW 328i turbo
Mike: BMW e36 M3 turbo
Cohare: 996tt modded
9eleven: 996GT2 modded
Most everyone set a personal best or a record in some way or another. I have almost everyones best run on film except for the BMW's, I will post them once I download and edit them.
Well let me start by congratulating Ahmad/Blackbenz who hit a personal best today and further set the bar as the fastest CLK55 period, I know hes been chasing his personal best for a while and he deserves it. 11.48@120.5
I have been trying to impress upon people for some time now just how fast a properly driven C6 Z06 is. Its down right LETHAL
I was able to witness and video tape the fastest time for a bone stock Z06. Id like to congratulate Jamie Furman and his driving abilities, gag on this 10.98@128.9 on street tires and 10.83@130.05 on BFG Drag radials, 100% bone stock this breaks both of Rangers records. sorry ****ty video, i got just the tail end of the run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Nt9JwrZv0g
GT2, wow man what a fast fast car, this car has stock radials, ECU flash and mufflers 11.06@129.77 it might be a record for street tires for his mods not sure
Track was too cold for me and I couldnt hook that well. My trap speed is back up but relative to my 1/8th mph its off again
10.99@125.67 but 101.31 1/8 mph, thats means i should be running close to 130 trap speeds. I am excited that my trap is back up in the 125's again and that I FINALLY got a 10 sec run on video tape.

Thanks guys, I had a blast today. I honestly thought you handed me the wrong timeslip. PTE will destroy my times so might as well cherish it while I can. 100 shot for one pass to get into the 10's?

Jay CL65 all the way man!!!, lol!, After hitting 10's in comfort i could get used to that.

You guys keep raising the bar for all cars and it is a great thing.
I wish we had some fast runs to speak of but as I am sure you have seen , we had rain for the first time in 20 years on our track day.
Jay what were your 60fts? Seems like your car the last couple times out BLISTERS through the 1/8th then goes a bit flatter.
You guys make us all better , and mad respect to everyone that participated. I will absolutely consider coming out soon as my car is ready
The light wheels make a tremendous difference, even the wife said, "what did you do to your car"?
Jay , thanks for you continued dedication and pursuit and organization of these events it means alot to all of us as we definately gain each time you guys make a pass.

You name it i've had it or got it...
so much craziness.....i just can't believe that z06 is stock.....how insane is that??? when i ran mine it ran a 11.7....but that was in warmer temps...
ps...sorry i didn't end up meeting up with u jay the last time....i was going to try that one day then got caught up with family bs....basically them crying how i never see them etc...ughhh. definitely next time....

thanks for the kind word bro, 1.66 60ft, my car is doing something weird up top and as much as i dont want to admit it it might be time for a retune, but until i get a one off tune done strictly on a dyno here we stand...

Thanks no big deal just another one of my computations.
In all your experience at that track, do you feel it is 10 -15 degrees warmer at the track than what is recorded in Mechanicsville, or even at the track itself.
Is there some reason the area could be so much hotter or is the engine temp, exhaust , pavement giving the higher readings on the weather station. I believe Ranger is recording temps too close to the actual drag strip.
Im not trying to correct his times just wondering if I buy a weather station, where should I take the DA reading? In the staging lane , on the track, in the parking lot? I figured air temp would need be recorded further away from other sources of heat..
