ASP water pump pulley belt?

Now before you guys go crazy telling me about doing a search, I did and didn't fine anything. I already bought the jag supercharger belt but as you know the pulley for the water pump is smaller. I want to know if you guys running the ASP pulley changed the water pump pulley belt or did you use the one already there. If you need a new belt, what size did you use?

No need for changing the serpentine.

Stock belt wont go on ... the Roulands supplied by ASP goes on fine but its a gatorback design and gets chewed up - the Jag belt works best but its a tighter fit than the Roulands - batled my but off getting it on... but I have the S/C phenolics that threw it off just too much I think.

Getting confused. Are you (original poster) talking about the supercharger belt, or the serpentine belt that goes around all accesories on the engine.

I'm confused too!
Steve, what about the phenolics? Are you talking about the phenolic heat spacers? How did they throw anything off?

Spacers raise the Sc,so the belt is tighter to get on.

I was just thinking of buying the spacers, so do i need to consider getting a new belt or is the belt I got with my ASP pulley going to be fine?

Maybe I didn't have it then.

No need to change the serp.....besides wear of course.

Never was an issue on my car.

Do you have the Jag belt or the one supplied by ASP. The Jag belt already fits tighter than the other belts. I wonder if it would work with the phenolic spacers...

Vic's S/C phenolics kit - really nice even if you just get it for the stainless bolts provided - raises the S/C snout some 5mm this chops about 1/2" from the belt length. A 52" Jag belt (if it exists) would be ideal for this setup in my opinion. The 51.5" Roulands goes on no problem though ... but it has been on a while and has probably stretched / worn a tad.

I am told the Jag belt is the same length as the Roulands but the ribs sit more proud reducing its effective length I think.

OK...OK.
Know wonder why I'm so confused: I was mixing up the two heat spacers that are available for our cars.
The phenolics on the left are an easy install and obviously don't raise the S/C

VRP spacers are way more intense and require s/c removal etc. etc.

Are there greater benefits with the VRP spacers?

The Jag Belt still works with the VRP spacers, the tensioner still has a little more room left.
